This song comes from SM's winter project if I'm not mistaken. I'm glad that SM does this kinds of projects. Newer k-pop fans get to know "older" idols, who might not be as popular as they once were. Example: Winter is from a group Aespa, they're are 4th gen. and they have massive popularity. Fans of Aespa might not even know how Max Changmin is and after the song, they might want to check his music out. I feel like TVXQ is kinda forgotten nowadays. And that might be because their last korean comeback was in 2018. I know that in k-pop trends tend to go by quickly and I can't imagine TVXQ doing the same kind of music or concepts as NCT for example. But I wish SM would gave them more opportunities and more frequent comebacks, because to this day I think Changmin is one of the most impressive singer is the whole k-pop industry. It's just kind of sad to me that new k-pop fans are not given the opportunities to get to know these guys. And now when I think about it, it's kinda crazy, that idols who are debuting in 2023 are often YEARS younger that TVXQ. (but idols debuting at a young age, often too young in my opinion, is a whole different story and a conversation for another time) Thank you for the reaction! Personally, I really enjoyed the song, but I agree with your comments about vocal acrobatics. Maybe if they were more evenly spread out throwout the song, and not left for the climax at the end, it would have been better.

I have been in Kpop... since the very beginning. I love the old times better actually. It was more personal. Exciting times when they actually broke out into the world.

"I'm gone..." Lol John...have to admit her high note was 👍 and she looks/sounds absolutely gorgeous in this performance...!! Beautiful vocals/harmonizing all around...!👏 The gals seemed a little 'stiff' in their body language (except when Taeyeon hit her high note)...Maybe you can give me your 'take'...Perhaps to suit the song/lyrics...??😏 P.S. Glad you got over your 'cold feet'...!!👍☺

Thank you. It was frozen solid for over three months. Actually, my original intention was to start with snsd comeback. God I regret not starting then. 😪 I have watched everything... and I mean it from pre debut to now, group and solo so I got nothing to react to. I am so sad I have no Sone to talk to. That was one of my motivations for starting the channel.

@cindythomas108 It sadly was a lament. I never was on social media. Also did not have anyone who enjoyed Kpop around me. These days, BTS made people like me seem not crazy but it was an oddity for longest time. So for decades it was just my private thing. This is literally first outing discussing Kpop with others. @@komerican-og Wow...such a powerful voice coming out of such a 'tiny' gal...she can really 'belt' out those notes...!!👍 Actually, I remember now I have seen Taeyeon perform before but on 'Begin Again Korea' with so many other musicians/artists...absolutely love that series...so much talent performed in so many beautiful locations...!!👏🌟👏

I totally agree with you… it seemed like they were doing the vocal acrobatics for the sake of showing they can, rather than really adding to the song. It sometimes seemed out of place. I have heard SM’s other vocal collaboration songs and I feel like they’ve always been able to do both: show the crazy vocals but maintain the cohesiveness of the song. I honestly probably had too high of an expectation for this song and don’t get me wrong I like it but I just think it could’ve been better with these amazing singers in one song. I just know how good taeyeon and changmin are at singing (I also don’t know too much about winter but she’s clearly good) so I don’t think it’s their fault I think it’s got to do with the production or vocal direction of the song. Also they probably had very little time to practice the song and were unable to iron out the performance. Seeing as you seem to be an older kpop fan, I’m not sure if you’re familiar with exo but I would love for you to check them out! In case you don’t know them, they have some of my favorite vocals in kpop and in my opinion has some of the best vocalists in kpop in recent years.

Great song, I like it. "Priority" almost became my fav song on the album, but it ended #2 as the #1 went to "Time After Time" by BoA, Wendy (Red Velvet) and Ningning (aespa).That song is also vocally heavy, but it's kinda different and not so overwelming with vocal acrobatics, as you call this overused vocal technique. The song is more... more warmer, I'll say. It's just my opinion of course. :) Max Changmin ❤❤❤ He has released one of the best albums in 2022 "Devil", and month before that - in Dec 2021, he put out his Japanese album "Human". Both albums are amazing and like someone mentioned here - it's sad that new k-pop fans don't give.... for him/TVXQ. I am also very sad. And do you know what dissapoints me the most? Last year, when he released "Devil" many reactors who do reactions mainly to the most popular SM artists - NCT, EXO, aespa and etc., they did a reaction to Changmin (the situation was kinda SM's rabbit hole) and they were "wow, he's amazing, who is he? he's great" and that was all. Nothing, NOTHING more. None of them continued to discover his or TVXQ's music. Actually I know only two girls, who listened back then to his albums, but that's it. I know music is a personal preference, there are many talented singers, groups, but I can't understand how someone can like and praise artist, to said they want to know him more - but at the end they do nothing??? I mean - he is talented, he is handsome, he can dance, he makes good music - from ballads, trough pop, everything. Why? What stops them to discover more? Sorry 🙃 To be honest, I can't and don't expect anything from anyone, I just wonder why this happens but I have no one to ask. btw, Winter is a member of the youngest SM's group - aespa who is going to have a comeback on May 8. They debuted in October 2020, with a very solid metaverse concept wich was confusing for some people at the beginning, but with the times they were crowned like Kwangya Princess and people started to enjoy their concept (not to mention the vocals and their beauty). But this time - for the upcoming comeback, they'll go with a different concept - in the real world, and I personally expect more natural sound, more pop r&b.But we'll see. Once again, sorry for my long post and I hope I didn't cause offence to anyone with my murmuring up there.
