Koreaboo Cringe Compilation-Merrell Twins Edition

Cringey Koreaboo Compilation Merrell Twins Edition!
The Merrell Twins are the definition of Koreaboos.
Borrowed Clip: • Vanessa Merrell is Fak...
Made a pin nobody read it so I put it here, read before commenting:
You say they aren’t Koreaboos/racist bc they’re “half asian” you're wrong & all need to do research bc they're not “half Filipino”. What they are • Googling Ourselves - M... at 2:30. If they're half white half Spanish how can they also be half Filipino? FYI to be "half" something one of their parents needs to be full, are either of their mom or dad full Filipino? Yeah didn't think so.
So they’re NOT half Filipino do your research they're not even asian, so stop saying I need to do my research I did, it is all of you who thought they were half when they aren't.
The dancing/singing is not Koreaboo, my video is a Koreaboo “Cringe” video meaning if they’re not acting Koreaboo they’re cringey. Their dancing/singing was cringey if not to you, it was cringey to a lot of people including myself. You all go learn the definition of what Koreaboo is. The dancing/singing doesn't make them Koreaboos but don't excuse all the other stuff they did, it's still Koreaboo it's still racist and ignorant.

The dancing and singing part makes no sense. How is that being a koreaboo? Don't tell me you don't dance randomly like that when you're alone. Don't tell me you're perfect in pronouncing their Korean names if you're not Korean, that's pure BS. This video was just unnecessarily long, could've just included their racist comments.

In case some new kpop fans bumped up in this video, I have something to tell you: - having kpop pictures on your phone does not make you a koreaboo; - having a kpop fan account on any social media does not make you a koreaboo; - cutting bangs does not make you a koreaboo; - using your make up like k-idols do does not make you a koreaboo (as long as you use it because YOU feel good and not just because idols use it); - dancing and singing to kpop songs does not make you a koreaboo; - not being able to pronouce korean words/names right does not make you a koreaboo; - search more about asian culture does not make you a koreaboo. What makes this two girls in the video koreaboos is how they act supperior just because they like kpop and asian culture. If you're a kpop fan on your own way, don't do racist comments and do not treat korean culture as a fetish...YOU'RE NOT A KOREABOO... relax ^^

Wanting to try out different makeup and different makeup styles isn’t being a koreaboo. A koreaboo is someone who thinks they are korean when they aren’t, when they try to look completely asian and ibsess over everything about them 24/7.

There’s nothing wrong with them dancing to kpop songs and “trying” to dance the choreography...literally every kpop fan does that. But yes saying they look Asian and trying to look Asian etc is kinda....yeah it’s koreaboo. But trying to learn korean(singing too) is not koreaboo. It’s like saying “white people are not allowed to learn/attempt Spanish because they are white and not Hispanic” plus they are America...they don’t know how/haven’t attempted to speak with an accent, like pronouncing names.

val hanna i agree but i don't think that's why the included it in the video. asia is a huge a continent with a lot of countries. and they never said "i look korean" they always said "look asian", so if them dancing to and listening to kpop music wasn't included in the video then you could argue that they weren't being koreaboos exactly but just fetishizing asians.

The issue isn’t them singing or dancing to the songs. That’s what fans do with any type of music. It’s all the openly racist comments and the fetishization of the culture and people that’s the problem.

Gifted Otaku T 3 T I'm a Filipino myself. In my opinion, we don't have pale skin like other Asian does it's because we lived in a tropical country just like Indonesia or India like you said. We don't have monolids like other Asians it's because we're colonized by Spaniards as well as Indians but they were colonized by British. So most of people here are not really pure Filiipinos coz most of us has either Spanish blood or other Asian race. I agree to your opinion tho.

koreaboo means: Someone who is obsessed with Korean culture so much they denounce their own culture and call themselves Korean. They usually are kpop fanatics (not fans) or fans of League of Legends or other competitive games popular in South Korea. However there is a line; if someone just likes the music, language and culture they are not classed as a koreaboo. i know they aren't koreaboos, they do have cringey moments but the fact that just because someone is a filipino, japanese, chinese and etc they can't be a koreaboo because they're asian. everyone could be koreaboos..

Dancing and singing to k-pop songs doesn’t make them a koreaboo. The fact tho is that they keep saying “I look Asian” or “I have monolids” when they don’t is stupid. Not all Asians have that type of hairstyle or eye shape. There’s more to Asia than just Korea. If they’re trying to sing in Korean tho or speak it, they should actually TRY learning. I’m actually a little annoyed the way they said Bangtan but ok. Now with the Korean names, it’s something most fans especially some new fans kind of have a struggle with. I struggle with a little with pronouncing the first part of Jimins name. Researching a Chinese wedding is 100% fine, but when it’s only because of the reason why she did it, it’s a bit ehh

Dancing, singing and applying makeup in a different way isn't koreaboo. The only thing here I find kboo is about those monolids and asian eyes. I'm asian but I don't have monolids so I think they shouldn't compare their eyes to us because tons of us here actually has double eyelids Edit: also trying to speak in Korean ISN'T an example of koreaboo behaviour unless you don't know what words you're saying and just randomly shouting it out. Don't tell me learning another language is ***boo behaviour because it isn't.

The part where they were making fun and trying a little too much was bad. I’m just mad that you put dancing and singing in another language as someone trying to be koreans. Was it bad when non-latinos danced or sang to despacito. God. Cultural appropriation (for the korean culture) is being a Koreaboo not girls enjoying kpop. I’m not defending them on the twice, fictional chinese-american wedding, and racism. Thank you for reading my bible tho.

The eye stuff was racist, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with singing and dancing to your favorite songs and enjoying them. even if their song pronunciation wasn’t 100%, it can be very hard for a foreigner. And with the name pronunciation, they probably weren’t educated on how to say it and in no way does that make them a koreaboo. a koreaboo is someone who tries to be korean that isnt and/or changes their actual self with the goal of looking/being korean. i got bangs in february, when i didn’t even know what k-pop was and then cut my hair even shorter in august with, not the goal of looking korean, but changing up how i look. Having a fan account isn’t kbooish or creepy.

Tbh only some of the things are cringy (like at the beginning about the Asian eyes and stuff yikes) but overall they're just normal kpop fangirls lol let them have fun. And stop throwing the word 'koreaboo' around whenever you feel like it. Koreaboo is literally wanting to become Korean and speaking Korean when you're not even learning it. These girls are just dancing their hearts out being normal teens and expressing their love towards kpop whenever they choose to. Not a big deal as everyone's making it out to be.

agree except the speaking korean even though you arent learning it part. If someone said bonjour to me, I wouldnt think they are trying to be FRENCHaboo (??) Idk why people put a lot of hate when someone speaks the basic korean language (That sounded bad, it wasnt directed to you tho, just generalizing) I admit sometimes I cringe at it but just because I cringe doesnt make them the Koreaboos (you get??).

kheshire kat Maybe I should clarify(?) I mean when you are speaking Korean to try and converse to a Korean then ofc you aren't being a koreaboo (like exchanging a simple greeting or smth like that). But if you are mixing your 2 cent onionhaseyo Korean into your native language on a daily basis even when you aren't making an effort to even try to learn the language like a normal person, then that's koreaboo culture. But yea I get what you're saying.

the fact that i see people in the comment section defending and ignoring the twins action is just so odd. like dancing and enjoying kpop in general doesn’t make you a koreaboo but are we really going to ignore the shit they said in the beginning?
