Yes they should have offered the carp a 30 minute interview. At least the fish would have been doing something useful while out of the water. Seriously though, what a mob these Thinking Tackle people are! Didn't do a lot of THINKING there did they? And they are forever banging on about carp care. How about getting the fish back in the water so that the animal does not experience more trauma than is absolutely necessary? I think most of the viewers would rather see the fish go straight back, instead of watching an unthinking angler hold it for no purpose and causing it distress!
