Half a year ago we had the opportunity to invite Kool Keith to an interview for our Channel Zero section. We talked with him, among other things about the Ultramagnetic MC's and their contribution to the NBA All-Star Game in 1989, his collab with The Prodigy, a legendary Kanye West interview, current music from Danny Brown, his favorite porn star and Seltzer water. In the end, Kool Keith also tried to shed some light on the mysterious death of Tim Dog.

Mag sein, dass Kool Keith im Jahre 2014 vielleicht nicht mehr zu den relevantesten Rappern gehört, doch der Mann mit den 1000 Alter-Egos ist eine HipHop-Ikone und Lieblingsrapper euer Lieblingsrapper euer Lieblingsrapper. Im Herbst letzten Jahres bot sich uns die Gelegenheit, ihn zu einem Channel Zero Interview einzuladen. Dabei sprachen wir mit ihm unter anderem über die alten Tage bei den Ultramagnetic MC's und deren Beitrag zum NBA All-Star-Game 1989, seine Kollabo mit den Jungs von The Prodigy, aktuelle Musik von Danny Brown und wir schauten ein legendäres Kanye West Interview. I love Keith but he's calling out the new hip hop and sellouts while giving props to Kanye. But I'm pretty sure he does that just as everybody does because Kanye has the power to end a career like Keiths. Keith does not respect Kanye. Nobody legit in the rap game can honestly say they respect Kanye as a lyriasist. Compare any Del or Keiths lyrics to Kanyes and tell me Kanye is keeping rap alive. If your argument is that Kanye is the new school, then I'm dropping out.

i was very disappointed to hear that too.and im also having a hard time believing it when i hear A REAL EMCEE giving props to garbage.i mean,come on...youre kool keith.you know what real rap is,you know what true lyricism means,you know whats good and whats not...you cant possibly believe what you are saying...however,kanye cant do shit to keiths career...the overlap between keiths people and kanyes people is very very small.most people who fuck with keith despise kanye and his kind.if anything,shittin on kanye would give keith even more hip-hop points
