Kool and The Gang were iconic back in the day and had a number of hits. I remember skating to this one as a teenager.

Celebration. Ladies Night , Cherish just to name a few, I use to skate my butt off to their tunes

Celebration is arguably the #1 song of 1980.

Kool and the Gang was another iconic group. Hits after hits.

I am a 53 year old white guy that loves Rock and Blues but I have stop and really appreciate this R&B stuff by Kool & the Gang.

Saw K&TG 4 times live here in the UK during the 80s on the "Emergency" tour... My sis had a mini bus full of friends but no driver so I drove but wasn't keen on going to the gig itself but did, AND OMG I was hooked from the get go. Superb 😊👍

Awsome tune I'm 54 now and I used to dance to this at my local night club called bo bos and the song carabian Queen by Billy ocean

The 80's were fun! People still dressed up, DANCED (not like today) and were just...happier and nicer. I never thought I'd look BACK on a decade and miss it...but I do.

I always liked that Kool is the one usually in the back playing bass. These guys were a huge part of the 80’s. You couldn’t have danced for long without hearing them.

I remember the song but had never seen the video or what Kool and his gang looked like. Seeing Kool's 'product' drenched hair styling reminded me of the fun they made of men's hair products in Eddie Murphy's fun movie 'Coming to America'. It was like a running gag throughout the movie. (India, if you haven't seen that movie you should!!!).

I was a teenager in the 80’s. The music scene and the dance clubs were 🔥. I Kool and The Gang gave us a lot of great songs to groove to and there were so many more great artists(Prince, Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam.......)

Kool and the Gang. Kool is the bass player. He comes out briefly with his bass and dances while still playing the bass. The lead singer James Warren Taylor or J T Taylor. Joined the band in 1979. During those years the group had their most success. Ladies NIght, Celebrate. Both big hits. Then he left and band only had minor success after. Great party band.

Few years ago I saw Kool and The Gang open up for Van Halen, they were fucking awesome, totally worth seeing if you get the chance.

Love the bass line ... just keeps the song motatin' along. You gotta' stay with it. One of my favorite K&TG songs. I used to feel that way for certain girls I knew. I'd lay odds that when K&TG were moving like this live on stage, all the GUYS down front would be trying to imitate the choreography. GREAT, India! How about more guy groups from this era?
