You have me hooked on slow stitching! Thanks for sharing. I wonder if you will be horfied to know that I hate pinning as well. I like to use a stapler instead 😂

Thank you so much Sonia - I’m so happy you enjoyed it. Have a lovely day too 🥰❤️
I usually thread my needle before cutting the thread. The thread has a twist to it and if you thread this way you don’t have many tangles or knots.

Hehe - my little clip friends! Scraps are the best. I’m at my happiest when I’m digging through a box of them or playing with buttons! :) 🥰
Loved watching your create and stitch while playing in my craft room. I hate pins too! Need that on a pin badge for a little giggle Cheers, Christine

Another gorgeous and inspiring project Tori and I think I have enough leftovers from my Tutti Frutti kit to use for the decorative scraps. I just got some pins as well to have a go at those, I have a feeling they're going to be addictive :)

Yay! I’m glad you are enjoying these projects Annie! 🥰. I am quite obsessed with the pins too - just bought another bag of the kilt pins for more! 🤣🥰
I love watching you work. I have long done the same type of art with scraps of my mother’s quilt fabrics. I never tie knots though. I always bury the end of the thread in between the sandwiched fabrics in the collage. Have you tried this? And if so, do you prefer knotting? And why, one way or the other?
@KoolKookyKreatures
Жыл бұрын
Thank you Kristin :). I sometimes do a mixture of both - tie a knot and then lose it between the layers. I think I feel that with a knot the thread is more secure, especially if it is going to be used a lot - for example needle case or bracelet. If I am making something to be framed or mounted then I’m not so worried about it working loose. 🥰
OMG do you still have jelly cubes l used to eat them like lollies when l was a kid before we migrated, talking mid 60s here lol. Here in Oz we have jelly crystals that we dissolve in boiling water. Really miss the cubes
