    Proud? Nothing to be proud here. All I've seen is "we want to be like this city and that city" there's no creativity here. It just copying and pasting. And even that we can't get it right.. very sad that we can't design something for Africans rather copying from everyone else.. colonial mindset is still pretty much alive in the whole of Africa specially in Kenya.. no wonder politicians exploit us kwa sababu sisi ni wajinga...

    This is a positive trend but it will need areas of wooded patches like the arboretum in Nairobi, water ponds and small lakes that will absorb flooding and improve air humidity in this dry region. Here Kenya should persuade itself to venture into creative thinking and not try to copy what others are doing.

    Nice show right there. This should be each an everyone's scope when it comes to constructions and set ups on brick and mortar. Its begins with you. Start by planting a tree, collection of litter in your neighborhood.

    Imagine you don’t have to nurse the trees at that age it will take them too long to grow and possibilities of drying in that area is very high. Instead you can move fully grown trees from one habitat transport them to Konza city.

    @@explorelondon3695 just like any other country Kenya has its challenges, competition in the Job market is real but with such projects and right infrastructure in place, investors will be attracted, jobs created and population pressure eased in the major cities, we need to be vasertile and grab opportunities that come by and trust the process

    @@explorelondon3695 Talking of challenges, lack of political goodwill and rampant corruption is among many challenges that we face, Kenya has a great potential with the right leadership in place. We face misplaced priorities and that's where the majority population is left out.

    Great future city. Every city estate needs to be designed like this. Now Kenya can build a new govt hqs aka capital to decongest Nairobi. That will save it from endless bypass and freeways buildings

    I concur with you. A government is often supported by taxes. An expanded government will REQUIRE more taxes whether KENYANS like it or not. I wish we just maintained the current structure until we get our economics right. If more than half of the population is working like 80% then nobody will have a problem having those extra seats because you can be able to collect TAXES. Sadly, almost 60 percent of us are unemployed an political elites want a bigger cake, WHERE will the TAXES come from if most of us are unemployed?

    Especially on the outskirts of the city. Because of manual workers who'll be providing services to the people living inside the city... Mama wa kufua, house help....casual workers... Etc

    @@positivevybes247 Lol.. For a well planned city I think that will be no issue. Mama fuas will be replaced by laundry services. Casual house helps can be accomodated in servant quarters. Find out more on urban planning. The answers to your worries lie there

    @@positivevybes247 This will not be your ordinary estates. There's something called zoning rules and regulations. I'm sure they'll be strictly adhered to. Additionally, there are several places in Nairobi where urban planning and zoning is strict. Tembea uone. Visit places like Muthaiga, Kitisuru, Rosslyn, Gigiri, Lavington..
