as a builder may be funding might have been a problem but considering the enormous amount of time it takes to build the foundations and now its almost complete shows good progress. am impressed.

Note Konza is build by government little funds. It’s not built under a loan like how the new capital city of Egypt is. Funding av been a stressing of the project but it looks like it coming to light . I would request a kibaki statue on this project he was the anchor for this city may he rest in peace

The plots should be leased to multi national companies that can build quickly. The Egyptians have almost completed a second capital city already, maybe they can help.

That’s true but you can’t compare the new Cairo with konza. Since Egyptian new city is built with 100% loan but konza city is build by little money that the government submit to it.

it looks like transportation is adequately provided and catered for within the city? what about transportation in and out of the city? for interconnection between cities are there plans to include a train station or light rail. what are the needs that this city is intended provide? How can a mordern city in this age even if it was a silicon savanah, not have a train station, or if there are provisions for one in the future we would like to know. Since the promulgation of the constitution we have witnessed so many projects which were concieved and are yet to be undertaken.

Wajinga wa Few wa mulang'a na Kapsabet ata huku wako? Hii ni project ya Uhuru nanii. He was so futuristic toa kichwa nje ya dirisha and look around. Ni nini Ruto amefanya isipokuwa kufikiria yeye ni Moi 1992? When Moi used to lie tu people ata wajengea reli kwa shamba yao wanapiga makofi..Sasa wakenya wamesoma but juu ya uTribe wnabebwa ng'ombe. Ushawahi ona Ruto kwa infrastructure na developments? 😂😂Yeye ndio anajenga Kenol Marua road pia ama? Hizi ni project alipata zikiendelea. Our cerelac guy at least was atleast exposed to cool things and Western world kind of living and wanted Kenya developed. Ng'ombe zingine ziliingia zikitaka kufikia Moi na Kenyattas 1990 no other vision. Huyo labda afuge kuku na awaambie ni Turkey mlipie levy apate inheritance ya watoto wake. Kupanda ndege yenyewe inamfanya kuOrgasm kazi nikwenda kila mahali he wished angetembea when he was a boy. They passed a privatization bill where he and his friends in the cabinet decide what to sell and to whom. Wacha uone hii project ikiuziwa his inner circle guys na yeye akiwa shareholder. Nikazaa mtoto mjinga kama watu wengine natupa choo. Mark my post. Ruto is not your friend and cares nothing about any Kenyan apart from his kids and friends. Tulia uone Kenya ikigeuzwa Zimbabwe na Congo

Good progress but why is it that the roads are so small. I believe the designers are living in 2023 not 1920, look at all new cities around the world. Where is Cyclist, metro or and BRT lanes. We need to do better. After you finish the city you'll need to upgrade the roads. Why not build a better capacity in the beginning.

I can tell you have a negative attitude towards a lot of things, especially how you interpret and analyse this progress. You need infrastructure to have companies come and develop. Basically, roads, water and electricity. That's all we see on this video. Try positive critism sometime.

Egypt is 100% built on debt plus it is not a green city. Konza is built on small government budgetary allocations........ building a city with slim budgets is not easy. Plus a lot of work has been put in building stronger sewer lines, water conduits and future underground electricity lines. Building roads and other transport lines is also crucial ......the city is also running over three million seedling nurseries for the greening purpose but your negativity wont allow yourself see that. Egypt has oil we dont have it what do you want?

@@AmazingMania Actually the largest slum is in cape town then kibera is the second largest slum in the world followed by a slum in India. So its true that the worlds largest slums are found in Africa, thats why I dont see the need to start building a city from scratch when people cant afford affordable houses in Nairobi, and the cost of living is high. Unlike you I did my reaserch. What a waste of funds, we could have used to make the cities we already have better and even improve other parts of the country. Who is even going to live in these Konza city?

@@THE__OMOLE_1there are so many towns that could have been expanded to this magnitude, even Nakuru or Naivasha. But building a city from scratch? What a waste, when Nairobi does not even have proper drainage and sewage systems. This seems to be built just for wealthy people to live in. Ooh and also take more money from the Chinese and increase the taxes on ordinary people so that you can build a city for the rich.
