I'm growing more fond of my TinG harps - $25, come in all keys, very responsive, comfortable and sound great. What's not to love? Here I am doing some random jamming to a KZread backing track with my long-suffering phone simultaneously recording both me and the track - so any success in the mix is purely accidental, lol.

It's getting that way - but the big guns aren't helping - they're getting SO expensive now that the regular players are getting priced out of the market, so they're like, well, let's see what these Asian harps are all about. And lo and behold, they're pretty darn good. The Hohners and Seydels and even Suzuki's and Lee Oskars will soon find themselves selling to an empty room...

@Tim48103 It's been a couple years since I bought anything but these two brands. Why would I when I'm satisfied at half the price or less?
My Bb arrived today. It was a bit breathy out of the box but a quick gapping and flat sanding of the draw plate and the comb has it doing overblows with aplomb. I did have to straighten the draw plate before sanding it. Given that I’d end up going through the same ritual with a harp that costs twice as much, I’m pleased. Thanks for the review and recommendation.

Excellent. I haven't gotten one that needed that much work, but yes, I pretty much always gap all my harps, and probably flat sand about half of em, regardless of make, model, and cost. And I'm always noticing that in the end, they all play almost exactly the same.
