Same here. I’m hoping they either somehow bring it back online as part of these collections or remake MGO2 as a new MGO with MGS:Delta. Do you play on SaveMGO?

Metal gear online was the counter-strike of playstation. Best third person/first person shooter of all time , better than call of duty and any other shooter

for the PS3, and the PS3/MGS4 era yes, MGO2, but for PS2 and from 06-07 . MGO was the best game online in my opinion@@sevenchambers

@@PerfectStealth Yes. I played MGO 2 as well. MGO1 I was a member of Red Berets & Kings of Kings, MGO2 I started with KoK and ended the game with Derty Dogg Crew. Played with mainly competitive guys, miss these games. I can say my favorite of all time was MGO1, like you, made some lifetime friends and a passion for multiplayer gaming.

hope they add the combat knife aswell to the MGO titel as seperate sidearm like in MGO3

Have you played the original metal gear online ? Its possible to equip the survival knife and the stab is an instant kill, and if you get enough knife kills you get the rank of shark

Even of they do reboot MGO1, a part of me thinks that they will somehow mess it up similar to MGO3's launch. Maybe it'll be the fabled MGO4 or just some other mode? We'll have to wait and see

Yeah, historically they haven’t had the best track record promoting/launching MGO. MGO3 had by far the worst launch but that was also because it had the most tumultuous development cycle from what I’ve heard. I’m still hopeful they can get it right and now is the time to do it since all eyes are on Delta.

So many good memories from MGO2 Shout out to the awesome guys from Save MGO2 which sadly I have not been able to play.

A remake of the original MGO would be insane. Was my first online game ever. Cried when they closed the servers ❤️

MGO/MGO2 ON PS5 would be awesome... if they make it like MGO3, they will FUCK it up

If Konami does do MGO4 then then it has be the next big thing that coming out of Metal Gear franchise rather than a big update for MGS3 Delta then forgot about it sure they can add a MGO1 style beta in Delta or similar COD does for their new games there's online multiplayer feature and they have the main live service multiplayer game im Warzone then you have idea how MGO4 would be and in MGO4 they can add all the maps and modes from all MGO in MGO4 and you mention battle royale games MGO2 had a battle royale style way before it was popular and MGO4 can be best of both worlds if done right all they have to is promote MGO like they never had go out pay Dr Disrespect and among other popular streamers to play MGO4 and have their viewers exposed to MGO and maybe have MGO beta access as Twitch drop if you watch certain stream

We know if they’re using the fox engine? Remember when the jungle was first teased for V way back when and we all thought MGS3 survival but open world? Too bad V didn’t lean into that at all. I know I’m probably in the smaller crowd thinking they outs take massive liberties in the remake but, as long as they story beats are the same, they should remake it like what we all hoped V was gonna be. Fuckin snake eater jungle survival open world adventure! With full 2 player coop like peacewalker and MGO but more like MGO2 than MGO3. Mannnnnn I can dream can’t I?

I don't think they'll use the FOX engine at this point. Probably UE5 if I had to guess.

If the remake comes out without MGO... I am not interested... don´t give a shit

I hope we actually end up getting MGO in some fashion! I'm worried about it being fucked like MGO 3, but who knows. MGO 2 provided me with so much entertainment and the customization couldn't be beat. Would love to see Volgin as a unique if they remake MGO 1 😂

MGO was never successful outside of Japan Konami doesn't care about MGO
