Wow. I'm not a footballer. I work in something very different. I've never had a manager or 'leader' speak like that. Honest. Expectations clear. Encouraging. No buzzwords. Concise. Very impressive and good luck to Burnley for the rest of the season and next

What a fantastic guy, I’m sure the players will run through brick walls for him, so positive. I’ve followed the Clarets for 62 years and never felt so excited at the start of a new season, last Friday was so entertaining and as the weeks progress performances will only get better as this new group get to know each other. We the fans have our part to play also, the Turf needs to become that intimidating place where the opposition is not looking forward to coming because the noise and never ending support will blow them away. Can’t wait for Saturday.

As a Man Utd supporter, even I can see how special Vincent is very eloquent in this video and so as a coach and as a former player. I would be shocked if he eventually doesn’t become a Man City manager of the future.

this guy was always going to be a fantastic manager. he was inspirational as a player.

You can tell from my handle that I'm a Chelsea fan but I have nothing but admiration for Vince Kompany. He's always come across as a top leader and quality person each time I watched him as a player and off pitch interviews. I am happy for him & Burnley.

I'm not a Burnley fan but watching this and their game against Huddersfield he looks like a class act as a manager so far. They're my team to watch in the championship this year

Bloody hell. A few points: His English is amazingly good. Better than a lot of British managers. Got the right balance between respect for the existing players and the new ones. Got everything right. Absolutely amazing transformation driven by an amazing guy. "I want us to score goals", and here they are, top of the table, having scored 80 goals - more than any other side in the Championship. Also the best defensive record, having conceded less than everyone too. Lost 2 league games all season. 2. Absolutely phenomenal job.

Can't wait to see him in the premier league. I believe from that generation of players, he is the best manager and someone players will love for. his character, his demeanor, his simplicity and of course his leadership style will make him a constant prem manager. Time will tell and I hope I am right because he deserves that. All this from a guys who never like city but always a fan of VK on and off the pitch.

Vincent Kompany is going to be a legend as a manager judging by this video of him speaking to the team. A great motivational speaker with wisdom and memorable messages in his words.

I’m happy for kompany and the whole burnley team and staff. They deserve this and I hope they do well in the PL.

Every manager that has worked under pep has that kind of mindset ~ dominant and offensive. They want their player to control the ball and score.

Now imagine him giving a speech in front of players like Kane, Neuer, Muller 😂

To think that Burnley have gained promotion back to the EPL on the first time of asking after Sean Dyche era is Astonishing. This meeting here was the foundation! The turning point! Communication made easy. Goals, Targets, Objectives! Congratulations Burnley and massive respect to Vincent Kompany. His growth as a tactician is incredibly phenomenal.

..........still waiting. Critch is nowhere near the level Q.P.R need. You heard Kompany introduce his staff. One was a 'Pathway Coach' (essentially an Academy coach). This is the profile of Neil Critchley. Because he's got associations with famous Academies, in Crewe and Liverpool, he has found it easy to impress the directors. There are plenty of managers who succeed, in spite of their playing career, going through the coaching grades. Steve Cooper at Forest is a great example of someone with no playing career, who then became an Academy coach , and successful manager. Shame you don't have a quality manager now, considering your proud history.
