That's what his name means basically. Actually, all the characters names are based on personality/something like it. Ex: Najimi (forgot their surname) basically means "childhood friend" and the reason why they're androgynous (male uniform shirt/tie and female skirt) meaning that your CF could be either gender.

Also they probably notice that Komi willingly hangs out with him every day (and at this point it had been 9 months since the school year began), while this was the first time Naruse tried to talk to her since the school year started, so they’re not sure what his intentions are.

What makes it even worse and so much more unfair for Tadano is that unlike Naruse, Tadano legitimately had no other reason for being around Komi other than just helping her overcome her anxiety and make friends. While Naruse straight up tried to ask her out.

Something that I noticed which I think Is really cute is the difference text boxes used for the various characters for example the minion uses a textbox with a border that fades into white from the outside in representing the more or less notification esqe info he's providing while in comparison to komis textbox which is more of a hand drawn notepad based look it makes them all have a great individuality in terms of their character the animators could've easily reused the simple textboxxes komi uses but they didn't it's great to see them going the extra mile for that comic book style charm

That's part of the entire joke, like most people are named after their thing. Tadano Hitohito is more or less average and that's what his name translates to. Osana Najimi is a pun on childhood friend and thus has everyone in Japan as thier friend. Naruse is named after Narcissisms outright, and his follower/friend named Komenti is a comentator that also take over narrator duty in the manga. ect. ect. tl;dr no its like that for most of the cast.
