@@jabdroid197 You use the joy cons?! I don't know if you can still get Nintendo brand Gamecube controllers for a reasonable price, but they are a much better choice than the joy cons! You could order a pro controller online and have it delivered.

@@GuardianAngelEatos Late in the party but it seems the common sentiment for Sm4sh Shulk mains is that he feels very different in Ultimate and some of them told me they don't like this change. Then there's Ultimate apparently having the worst input lag and overall horrible online experience compared to Sm4sh. As an Ultimate player though, I understand their sentiment, as it feels like the game does not treat reaction-based playstyle well, which, IMO, is the type of playstyle promoted by the long list of Shulk tech in both games due to how much it catches people off, falling victim to the myriad of character-specific interactions.

@@RevoltineShulk really doesn't feel all that different. The only big difference is that you can't use Jump for offensive anymore since it lasts for such a short time, and you can't switch between just two arts the whole game if you want to. Aside from that, he feels exactly the same. He's just a lot better! Yeah I can see not many people playing because of Ultimate's absolute worst input lag since timming with Shulk is important, and his moves already have slow startup, so the input lag hurts him the most I think. Yeah It's hard to play a react style in this game with the way the darn buffer system works and with there being so many moves in the game that are inpunishable, or only punishable if you have a fast move that you can use out of shield.

I love seeing how hype Kome gets for some of his solid plays. He’s so fun to watch.”

Right?! I find that the aggressive players that know what they are doing are the most fun to watch! I've been a Shulk main since Smash 4 releases, and I learned a thing from watching this. Shulk has so much tech! I love it!

something that Kome tends to do that some Shulk players don't do is that he goes for tech chases with back slash. this move isn't really a kill move, but it does send at a pretty low angle. Kome overall has a pretty aggressive playstyle compared to other Shulk mains like Nicko. edit: also, when his opponent is at ledge, I've noticed that what he does a lot is do an empty short hop toward the ledge and then do f-air away from ledge. F-air is a great ledge guard tool since it would cover jump, neutral get up and sometimes roll.

Yup. I do that too. That's the best way to use forward aeriel, and Shulk is amazing at dealing pressure to the opponent when off stage! I love using backslash for tech chases and reads! There are some situations where that extra reach and drop speed helps, and I don't know what you're talking about when you say that Backslash Isn't a kill move. I like Kome's aggresive playstyle, and Nicko never impressed me. His Shulk is good, but not amazing.

That's crazy cause I'm a shulk main also and this is the best playing I've honestly ever seen. I watches some of Nickos vids, he had some plays but this is a different style completely. I kill alot with backslash btw

Kome actually isn't that aggressive in neutral, but he pushes his advantage stage way harder than nicko with interesting setups. Nicko plays a lot more neutral-based.

Part of the reason I started maining Shulk is because of Kome, he has amazing plays and Shulk has a lot of potential, not the easiest character to play

I mean he is a very good character! He actually doesn't suck in this Smash game like in Smash 4! But yeah Kome's Shulk is impressive! It takes a lot of practice to get that good at Shulk! There's so much thinking involves, and you have to be very precise in when you use each move and have fast reaction time since the window for punishing for Shulk is very small since his moves have so much startup.

Kome is so fun to watch, and not just because we use the same character. He's so good at covering options with Shulk's huge aerials, and his falling up airs to punish spot dodging is so sick.
