sanemi really deserves atleast a peaceful life until the end. bro singlehandedly suffered most. had broken family father beating them and their mother had to work early as their mother cannot support them alone. almost his whole family killed by a demon he killed the demon to save his only brother left genya the demon he killed turns out to be his mother. then genya accused him killing her slay demons for a while then met his bestfriend that teach him how to use breaths and then later killed on lower moon 2 encounter. he die in his arms. lost his love interest kanae. the day he supposed to confess his feelings to her, doma killed her. feeling guilt as he failed to protect kagaya. and finally lost genya, he always wanted to protect and leave the corps to have a peaceful life but now dying in front of him. sanemi really deserves better.

"This isn't over.... Until we defeat Muzan." When I read the manga the first time, I was bawling when I got to this part. Then when Giyomei said that line, it hit like a truck even more. Like, damn. That already felt like the final boss and now they still have to defeat Muzan. Fucking wild...

Sanemi first saw his mother crumbling like a demon and now his brother as well, i think it was foreshadowed. Sanemi's voice actor did an awesome job in the ending. also kokushibo's voice acting was top notch.

The Anime Version will drop in 3 years, until then this is the best version we got

yeah for real. the youngest/weakest of the bunch fighting Upper One was cruel. Don't get me wrong, Muichiro is my favorite Hashira. He is strong, but not strong enough. you'd expect the strong to sacrifice themselves for the weak, but Demon Slayer shows us otherwise. it's incredibly humbling to see the weaker characters sacrifice everything to fight and save the others.

Well it's terribly sad but even then he would have 11 years left to live if he was 14 since he ignited his mark, like Shinazugawa, Tomioka etc, which is very sad because it means that for Shinazugawa the clan is gonna go extinct like Tsugikuni, same for Tokito (2nd death of Tsugikuni clan), same for Gyomei, and we won't be able to see Gyomei junior, Tomioka junior, Shinazugawa junior etc :(

gyomei’s really such a well written character. he was probably just as upset as sanemi, but chose to suppress it. because mind you, genya’s literally his stepson. everyone in that fight cared so much for each other its so tragic

This is peak Gyomei. Everyone thinks of him (rightly so) as the strongest Hashira & the leader by default due to his age & ability, but there's so much more to it than just battle prowess. He tends to the wounded & honors the fallen. He gives Sanemi & Genya an opportunity to lie next to each other & say goodbye. He dresses Tokito's body in his cloak & says a silent prayer. Then, lastly, he does his duty & rallies Sanemi for the final push even when it might've seemed cruel to do so. All while knowing he is going to die by sunrise even if they do defeat Muzan.

Michikatsu/komushibo, destroyed his life just to fight his younger brother that only loves him. The way he looked at his reflection makes him realize how fcked his face up makes his doings even not worthy for him.... Damn, jealousy kills bro. You know when you cried watching a fan animation you just know your gonna sob when they release the movies nice to have a generalization of what it should look like but still being a fan animation and feeling the emotion is truly wonderful

Kokushibos reflection with his identity and realization of his lost ambition really hit hard for the fans cus we wanted to know so much about the brother’s background and origin. Seeing how this episode relates to brothers n everything, the emphasizing of emotion from sanemi on this has the real grasp, him breaking character out of desperation for genya was spot on, and genyas tone after coming to terms w his brother like always wanted was beautifully executed. Jus straight props to the chef bro

I was crying silently the moment I saw Sanemi and Genya’s scene. But when Sanemi said “I’m sorry” right before that flashback- I started actually sobbing- I rarely ever sob- That voice actor is phenomenal. Hearing that broke me the pain in his voice.😭

Man idc what UFOtable does with the other movies & uppermoons/hashiras/Muzan. They NEED to get the Kokushibo-Hashira fight & the entire Yoriichi-Kokushibo backstory right. Yoriichi-Muzan fight, Yoriichi-Kokushibo fight. Yoriichi's backstory. Both these characters are probably the best in the entire manga. You are doing a movie on them DO JUSTICE TO IT PLEASE GOD.

And even after everything, even developing six eyes in an attempt to read Yoriichi's techniques, he couldn't see anything. Not what he had become, nor the love his younger brother had for him, until it was too late.

Voice actors made very good job especially sanemi and Kokushibo's voice actors. The theme song, animation,voice acting , everything is like i imagined.Can't wait ufotable's version too

you know it's good when you can feel the fear and the climax of the battle at 0:01 . Kokushibo's roar and crescent going everywhere is like a phase where everyone would've lost in a game, indicating this fight was won by pure miracle and the hashira probably had a winning chance as miniscule as 0.1%

Fun fact: Genya's ears had already disappeared, so he likely never heard Sanemi call him his little brother. This detail was in the Manga too so I'm blown away by this level of detail
