If Kokushibo wouldn't have turned into demon, he would still be the second strongest demon slayer, he was particularly very strong on his prime but he was so jealous from his own brother and having strange egos .By the time when he was a human he manifest demon slayer mark and he learned the second strongest breathing technique that's Moon Breathing. Even if he'd had just lived a normal life he would still be BoP. He wouldn’t be the 2nd strongest demon slayer. Most of his moon breathing attacks are performed with his blood demon art, so it is unknown how a human can possibly perform these high levels of attacks. They would normally rupture a human body on the spot.

Even the manga has it incorrect, In an interview it is said that kokushibo is 87% of yoriichii. AND if his presence is enough to freeze a sanemi, genya and muichiro then he is quite powerful, As those 3 would possibly not even be scared of both of them at full power. And so doma and akaza would barely be 25% of kokushibo in demon form

So yeah after reading a fan manga chapter on how the battle between Doma and Kokushibo alone would go, Kokushibo would lose to Doma and Akaza high-diff, Doma by himself can handle Kokushibo going all out for a little while and it makes sense because Doma's blood demon art is straight hacks pair that with Akaza and Kokushibo would struggle more than when he got teamed on by Gyomei, Muichiro and Sanami.

This is underestimating all three of their powers. Douma had the fastest and probably highest potential to becoming the strongest Upper Moon. His very power is a direct counter to this series' entire "superpower": Breathing. He become Upper Moon 2 despite being a demon for a shorter period of time than Akaza and was the most willing to eat any one, proven when he is literally the only upper moon shown to have been eating humans on screen which emphasizes his frequency to eating them. Douma is emotionless, which counters the See thru world thing pretty hard. Akaza on the other hand, literally beat a whole dojo with his bare hands when they had swords. May Kokushibou be a hashira or not, u can't argue with the fact that with Akaza's origin that is undoubtedly still an impressive feat when compared to Koku.

How do you make it

Upper moon 1 is stronger for sure but doma has the better blood demon art by miles. The ONE thing you have to fight back demons with, breathing techniques will get you killed against doma. He is a direct counter to demon slayers, at least with koko if you’re good enough with the breathing techniques it’ll help you fight him.
