I visited the ruins of Kokokuji Castle in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
About 30 minutes walk from JR Hara Station on the Tokaido Line.
There is a large moat on the north side of the castle ruins, and what I found when I got down there...
・Kokokuji Castle was founded by Hojo Soun (the first generation of the Gohojo clan), and was later built with a total of 2.4 million koku of rice.
