Great simplistic video. Liked the way you didn’t rush the camera as you panned around , and also telling us what valves to open and close and in what sequence. Keep up the vids 👍🏻

Thanks for posting. I’m just waiting for my Profliclear Compact M with a 2nd pump chamber to be delivered together with all the pipe work to plumb in bottom drain, skimmer and returns etc. I have been planning this for 2 years now and really excited it all arrive. Dig out a 9000L pond last year and have been using the lockdown to build a sunken filtration area in block work to house everything. Planning on decking over with a hatch after and hoping that I don’t have to do much maintenance to the filter once it’s set up.

How much media have you got in the moving chamber?

Cheers for watching. I have the standard 40 Litres that came with the unit and then I have added another 20 litres to take it up to the higher level. 40 l of Hel-X biomedia are able to break down the nutrients from approx. 270 g fish food per day, given optimum conditions. If required, this can be increased to 60 l, i.e. 408 g/day. I feed about 220g per day automatically and then hand feed several times a day plus treats so I increased the media to cope.

Hi I just ordered this and I am a little worried its too small I only have 7 koi and 2 gold fish and my pond is 1.3 gallons Ive been having problems with ammonia and nitrite with my sponge filter and bio bed do you think this drum filter is a good choice have you had any problems with it? Thanks.

This filter is capable of KOI Ponds up to 4,000 Gallons and will comfortably convert 270g of food per day. I have 2,250 Gallons and 20 plus Koi up to 65cm in size and it copes well with my pond. Check out the Video specifically about the unit and you will see exactly wat I think about the unit. The best money I've spent on my pond and after having a Multy Bay and an Eazypod this is the best by far. I hated spending time in the cold, up to my elbows in fish pooh cleaning brushes and filters and yet in 4 years I hardly get my hands wet now let alone dirty.

@@AKoiEnthusiast great thanks I have it installed but have some trouble with nitrites new pond syndrome I guess cause I had sponge filters before so I think it’s just the media got to mature, I wanted to ask how much media have you got in it I tried 50l but it seems to not move well and they recommend 65 max but I don’t think that will ever work so I got it down to 45 seems to work best mine is the pump fed version

I am considering getting a pump fed version of this system for my pond. What submersible pump would you recommend for a 2000 gallon pond? I don't have any bottom drains or a skimmer in my pond setup. How did you setup the pressure water for your ProfiClear filter? -Thank you

@@AKoiEnthusiast Sorry for asking all these questions but I have one last one! With the cleaning system, how much pond water does it drain during its cleaning schedule? Is there a system where you can automatically refill the pond water or do you add water yourself?

I didn't realise it was the Oase proficlear compact you had, that's the same as I have, I just need a pond to connect it to, I ordered and fetched plumbing from five acres Saturday, they've got it sorted to keep everyone safe, I couldn't believe how much stuff they was bringing out, when I worked out what I would need, on paper it doesn't seem a lot until it bagged up, I was able to get 3m lengths of pipe in car as rear window lifts up and only stuck out about ft, I had to go with slide valves for mine but as long as they do the job, so I've got everything I need for build except enough blocks, and liner of course, but more important things are happening at moment, it will get built eventually so will bide my time, stay safe. I didn't realise I was adding on here, I was just reading replies and just clicked to add a comment.
