Thank you Sir Mick, that means a lot from the carb cleaning king.
Hello Ed. I have a 682 Cub Cadet that has a KT17 Series 2 engine that is letting gas fill up the cylinders and anywhere else that gas may flow into and drip gas out of onto the ground. Does the Kohler KT17 Series 2 engine use the same exact carburetor as like the K series Kohler engines like the 108 Cub did in your video??? When I checked the oil, The dipstick had no oil color but had been flushed clean by all of the gasoline. Lucky I have not really run the engine all that much - So maybe no damage has occurred other than the engine oil being flushed away.

Yes they are very similar. If it's filling the crank case with gas then I'd have to guess that the float is stuck open or maybe has a hole in it letting it fill with gas.

@@PullerbearEd Due to the age of the engine, I am really considering a replacement carburetor. Despite all of the negative things that people have said about the Series 1 engine, The Series 2 engine that is in my Cub Cadet has always been a very strong reliable engine that has been tough as nails with little to no loss of engine oil until this incident. I’m really thankful that I was not using the Cub Cadet to mow in a bad area to access like on the opposite side of the creek or mowing my roadside when this happened. I really wished that the carburetor was as easy to access like the carburetor was like on your 108 Cub Cadet. Thanks for your reply to my question, Ed.

I have had no issues with the after market carburetor I have used. I'm glad you caught it before any damage. Good luck and keep us posted, if you would like to come to the Sunday live and update us.

@@PullerbearEd I was thinking about pulling the mower deck off to replace a weak tensioner spring - So I guess that I should be careful what I wish for Ed (LOL). If I make any progress regarding my issue with the Cub Cadet, I may very well join in on your upcoming livestream. What time are you going live so that I can be there with all of you?
