Koh Muk is Trang's most popular tourist attraction and is a unique destination for those seeking an uncontaminated natural environment. The island, located almost opposite Hat Chang Lang inland, offers impeccable beaches, perfect for swimming, and a coral reef that is worth exploring. Furthermore, the island is surrounded by high and majestic cliffs that overlook the sea to the west, offering shelter to swallows and a fishing village that overlooks the mainland to the east. To reach Koh Muk, tourists can take a ferry from Pak Meng Sikao port and travel for about 40 minutes. Hotels, bungalows and resorts are available on the island. Hidden in the forest between the rock walls is the spectacular Tham Morakot (Emerald Cave). The entrance to the cave is a small passage located in the western part of the island and can only be crossed by boat at low tide. The cave itself is 80 meters long, at the exit on the opposite side there is a clean white beach with a natural emerald-colored outdoor pool, surrounded by high rock walls. The marvelous Emerald Cove was the ancient treasure chest of the pirates who raged in these waters until the last century. If you want to witness the real daily activities of the fishermen, you can visit Ao Phangkha and the fishing village, located in the south of the island.
