I wish the audience wouldn’t sexualize him so much, he was talking some real stuff. Especially the part about mental health and his backstory for creating JUMP.

Thank you! He was being so incredibly vulnerable and a good amount of people were cheering/laughing during moments when they should have been contemplating and processing what he said...lowkey distruptive...start listening & stop lustin

Agreed, he is a beautiful human physically to look at, but we must remember he is soo much more, Im impressed with how open he was. He started acting very young, and seems like he is ready to expand beyond that. I hope he finds his peace.

@@JB4C89 yeah at times he did sound young. At the time of this he was only 24 (not like he's old as hell now though)
This young man is WISE. And his vulnerability is absolutely admirable! I’m an old head and I plead with these youngsters to take over. Y’all know and you need to trust it.
kofi mentioned so many things i deal with on a daily basis that i haven’t seen anyone else touch on. love this.

same omg, i'm so glad i clicked on this. I did NOT expect him to be so deep, thoughtful and introspective.
I appreciate that he took time to think about his answers. I think in interviews and for all of us in life in general, there can often be such a fear of 'awkward silences' that we try to give the fastest answer without thinking. He took his time, processed his thoughts, then spoke them out loud.

That’s what you call confidence. I didn’t realize I do this until my now boss told me I did this in my interview a lot and still do. A lot of people are reactive, instead of listening to hear and reply with the best answer.

I so agree.
Aside from him being BEAUTIFUL, his passion for the arts is great to see. This is definitely an inspiring interview.
I see why they chose him to play Crenshawn on insecure. Brother got levels
He’s still not happy because he needs to feed his spirit. It’s our spirit that thirst. We think we can feed our spirits with worldly things, success, money, drugs etc..but it’s God & His word that we need to feel happy & settled. I wish him the best on his journey. 💕💙
I love Kofi even more after this interview. My favorite quote " I can't continue to think its my normal to wait for someone to say yes." Man, that speaks to me on soooo many levels i.e. personally, career, and spiritually. Thanks Kofi for dropping gems
I remember him saying he had a huge crush on Issa years ago. 🥺

Kofi’s talk about suicide hit. I was in a dark place contemplating it myself. My mom passed 3 years ago and without that rock pulling me of the ledge, it seemed logical. Mind you I have a loving husband and family that love me dearly and that’s what I had to tap into to turn that around. Also was listening to an old Tranformation Church sermon, and Pastor Mike Todd was talking about inclusivity in the church. 1 Cor 12:12-27. I always felt like an outsider. Like I didn’t belong to this or that crowd, but I will Always be accepted into the Kingdom of God. That was powerful to me.

I attended the NAACP stood next to his aunt, not intentionally, as he walked up I said only a black woman and black man can create that. He walked over to the lady, hugged and kiss her. I didn’t know she was his aunt at this time. I said I want a kiss too. He gave me a hug and kissed me on my jaw. ❤️ Such a beautiful man inside and out.
Ghana on the radar!!!! 🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭If you here to support our Ghana brother let me see you repping!!! 🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭
His humbleness and his mindset his demeanor is what makes him even more attractive.

"We don't know who we are, because there's no unity." I say this often. Thank you, Issa and Kofi. Much needed discussion. And I'm all for transparency...I agree that our mentors, guides, teachers aka OGs need to offer up more of that to help us on our journeys.
LMFAOAOA HIS FACE WHEN ISSA SAID “Well we have the before pictures” 😭
Damn..Kofi has hacked my brain because that is EXACTLY how I feel about being deceived by family and the old heads on not passing down the truth and transparency and egos. When can we dismantle the generational curses??
Kofi!!! Hearing his thoughts on fame and his desire for real experiences and connection is exactly the vibe that I got from him. I met him randomly in New Orleans a few years ago and that interaction aligns with everything that he's saying! ❤👏🏾
He should write a book for young black man. He she lot of wisdom!
This man has depth and purpose. You can hear it in his voice. and the vulnerability in his points that he shared? Pure gold. I hope you find what you're looking for.
He’s a self aware and wise man…I dig it
Handsome, wise and spiritual, who wouldn't fall for this guy! I love his energy!😍😍😍😍😍😍
Besides his gorgeous appearence, he's so well spoken and articulate!
The level of intelligence this young man has is to be commended. I appreciate his honesty and standing in his truth. He has such a strong perspective that he could very well be a motivational speaker. Hell, I'm 60 years old and learned so much from him, how to navigate through life, putting yourself first and to just simply BE!!!
As an old head I am so proud of these awesome young Black Creatives. Our future is so very bright as they create space for all of us to be free.
One more thing, healing my mental health has brought me closer to my spirituality.

Yo Kofi is so awake! Spiritually lit! Wow! I love this so much!!! What a beautiful wise spirit ❤❤❤❤🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Woah....he’s really going in on things people really should stop to consider personally. He’s really talking on a spiritual level the existential thoughts of reality. A true introvert is in this train of mind everyday while people are talking hustle culture. “Happy are those conscious of their spirit needs” Matthew5:3.
This has been my favorite one! Wow I don’t know what I expected, but I am so very pleasantly surprised by the weight of this conversation. He has a beautiful mind, and I really appreciate hearing the depth of it. Thanks for the interview Issa and thanks for the Transparency and Wisdom Kofi.
I love that Issa held professionalism the whole interview and asked amazing questions. And Kofi man thank you for opening up the way you did and chose impact over playing to admiration 🙏🏾
It's the authenticity and intelligence for me... Love him!
This is the most honest and transparent interview I've seen in a good while. Protect this man!
Once you're free, free others...or tell them how to get there. It feeds the spirit and gives life purpose.
The transition from sober to tipsy is always so funny to me. Enjoyed this interview.
Not many people will admit that when he says money and success doesn't make him happy,. He say yes he has stuff but he's nothing...very very humble brother!!
He spoke real truth. Wise beyond his years!
I haven't watched the whole thing but he is representing Ghana and that alone means the world to me...
I’m happy to finally see this interview with Kofi and Issa. I’m a poor and definitely didn’t see it in 2018 😂. He was great in Really Love
“What I thought I was obtaining was a design”. Wow! I have not resonated more.
The freedom of this conversation is so DARING. Thank you 🙏🏾
Man, I should have been sipping tequilla with this outstanding conversation.
So deep. Happiness does not come from success, wealth and fame. Mental health is very important. I love this interview. Not too many ppl would even be comfortable to have this type of conversation. Vulnerability is a true challenge but it’s a sign of strength. ✊🏾
He is such a Pisces. Great interview!
This guy is a poet. Really enjoyed listening to this 🙏🏽
this was so deep and real a lot of people mentally go through these things and do not know how to express it!
He is so thoughtful!!! I found his perspective to be refreshing, he’s on a journey. I see that we will definitely work together someday. Issa is officially Queen of Getting Niggas Tipsy wit they Guard Down 🙌🏾✨ love it!
This makes me feel HOPEFUL. hopeful for our future black creatives, for our black men, for our black ppl in general!! I hope that more ppl can just see the world and themselves more clearly because in todays society there is so much filtering happening. we need real-ness to be IT again
Yess! So excited to watch this
Umm in love with this man if I don’t meet him I hope I meet someone wonderful as him and every women deserves a great man like him 😭😭😭❤️🙏🏾
What an enlightened beautiful black man 😭😭
“You design it, live it, and enjoy it” -Kofi PERIOD
What he said about not being able to feel free without combating his body image issues resonates with me. Currently going through the process. It was kinda cathartic to hear a guy verbalise it. Seems like a cool, down to earth dude.
Yesss I’m so happy! I’ve been waiting on this episode!
Issa you're dropping a lot of Gems. Thank you
I love how open honest serious and passionate he is
