Ya I'll admit, I am surprised how anyone can make it to the Finals by instincts and basic skill like that at all~ especially if they're not even that much of a major player of that game.

J Wong tried to play in street fighter style, that's why he lost badly.

@@thessk_2870 yeah I think he was just playing bad in general. Throwing fireballs at point blank range, dropping combos, not punishing blocked supers at point blank range. Idk what happened tbh.

KoF13 is still an AMAZING game, one of my favourites! And it looks so damn good... All those beautyful and expensive sprite work almost led to SNK's second bankrupcy, that's the reason why they switched to not so intiminating but still good looking 3D models.

That's true, KoF13 looks pretty intimidating compared to VF. I was able to pick up VF5FS pretty easily but KoF's timing looks really crazy considering how fast the game is.

I love this game, I play it almost every day.

Wow, I love watching KoF like he said. "Honest Fighting games." ftw. Lol. None of this one character being so uber you have to pick him or a counter or don't play at a competitive level.

I subscribed this channel just because this match.

He went in to that tourney with only 2 weeks of experience of KOFXIII. He played old school KOF where there weren't that many combos.

Seeing Art get hyped for Kof13 sure feels nostalgic. He never plays it.

That was an awesome match right there.

always thought the high damage combos make sense just like they do in MVC3. You get 3 characters Your meter carries over to the other characters. If you lose the first round you technically have a advantage in the second if your opponent used meter to finish you off. As the commentators say, if you drop a combo you lose all your meter. 1 bar hypers really don't do a whole lot of damage. Your better off saving meter for that big combo, IF you can pull it off. High Risk / Reward

seriously how dope this game? Just got it a few months ago and it's my fav fighting game ever (besides Guilty Gear). So fun, so deep, with great graphics and a sense of humor.

Oh hell yeah KOF for the KOF gods

for me, justin wong, is one of the few gamers who are good at playing more than one game. An example are the titles he has won in SSFIV, MVC2, MVC3 ... etc. .. but you have to give merit! was defeated by .. .. as for my point and seen, is the best Saiki .. Reinald .. definitely is a master in the kof .. but for me this was the first time I see Justin play KOF .. and I think that will be the last ... XD ..

Last Round: Reynald is about to blow Justin up Jesus, he literally blew him up

The game looks fun! Very different to see it from lame gameplay videos to a TOURNAMENT with good players! Now I'm interested in it :)

Your're right Final Showdown is awesome and all, but I found it much harder in kof to grasp all of the mechanics and sub-systems; probably because the last snk game I played was fatal fury 2 on the genesis

@polarity55 HD bar gives you an overwhelming advantage regardless of your position, very hard is very relative when some characters get near 80% with little to no meter though the meter just makes it easier. HD bar also refreshes increasing the chance of getting to use it twice, and effort is equally relative since the mix up game is very different in both games. They're both powerful mechanics, and while HD is certainly more balanced of the two it is by no means good.

Hope they make a KOF with hd sprites someday.

that's in accurate kof 94 to 98 were on the ps1, 99 to kof 11 were on the ps2 and 12 and 13 on the 360, but i must say these new versions 12 and 13 are much easier to play as oppose to the old version and should probably get them

I love this game... all I play when I turn on my PS3 is this an Arcana Hearts 3 man...

@raxzar yes but KoF had rolling and dashing.I love running around the place but in terms of solid gameplay I do feel 3rd Strike was the best.

9:16 that round was absurd, one anti air, overhead into combo, 85% damage... Kyo was at a singleplayer mode at that point

It IS true the game DOES hold him back If he were to play this seriously, his combos would be sick NASTY I'm more than sure he would choose Kyo as one of his team, if he were to play

@SDSOverfiend He hasnt even been playing the game all the long. It's an accomplisment he made it that far, shows his prowess for fighting games. He's good, and he'll be better when he gets a hold of the combos.
