Damn Takuma's sure is a beast in KOFXIII looking forward to the port this fall.

If anyone is still having trouble, I found it easy to cancel the std+C into fwd+B right away. I used to do it in a rhythm which doesn't work for this, but you can press those two moves very quick. When you know you pressed fwd+B, you should be holding db by the time he starts his fwd+B animation and then complete that db-fwd+D. Even if you miss the combo, you can still get a good feeling of when the move is done charging.

Mr. Karate has additional moves, upgraded versions of the ones he already had, and combo options that deal damage that's nothing short of insane. Mr. Karate is a greater offensive beast, and why wouldn't he be? It is Takuma fighting seriously, after all.

@TylerWayMoore There's an option for Takuma to put on the Mr Karate mask in color edit mode (by pressing select).. also they're releasing Mr. Karate as a seperate character as DLC in a couple weeks or so with his actual movesets, seperate from Takuma.

@BlakMastachief Actually Dan is a parody of the characters Ryo and Robert from the Art of Fighting, when Ryo and Robert came out their looks and moves looked very similar to Ryu and Ken (not to mention Ryo's name being only 1 letter in difference) so Dan was created as Capcoms way of getting back at SNK for essentially copying their main characters. Takuma is the master of Ryo's fighting style and since Dan parodies this style to make his Saikyo style that's why they look simlar.

His version is the Haoh Shikouken. The other Kyokugen users use the Haoh Sho Ko Ken.

@Mightfox Thats precision, it could be hard at the beginnin but with practice it can be performed on any combo (tell ya I practice that kind of moves on my keyboard, need a friggin joystick so bad)

2:20 holy fuck.. I love the Misogi-(shin akuma)-like super move there.. I think he had it in 2k2 but it was useless there.. I'm likin Takuma already in this game. I left KOF in 2002 cause i didn't like how they made takuma.. but I like him again in this game. I might buy this game =D

@DonMack279 However, Takuma design was inspired by Mas Oyama so it is only fitting they did that, even their martial art technique was inspired by Mas Oyama.

@rayanjifri He's just stocky becuase of his height and his age, trust me even with a bit of fat he's got the muscle and fighting skill most of the younger or slimmer cast don't have. Besides if you've seen other fighters you'll see a good few characters that have much like 3 times the ammount of fat on their body as Takuma but are incredibly fast and strong also.

KOF XIII takuma looks like he discovered the Kyokugen style Pig-out. I mean, just look at that chubby cuteness!!!!! he looked more like a teddy bear than the warrior that he was. what happened? did Ralf and Clark managed to steal his muscles? (they were overbuilt in this KOF... steroid-like.)
