The King of Fighters XIII combo video showcasing what Ryo Sakazaki is capable of, be that old, new, practical or impractical.
COMMENTS
Although Ryo is a character that requires a low amount of execution, it was very difficult thinking up new ways to push his limits until I remembered that Ryo can juggle some characters higher than usual allowing new ways to juggle. To even push his character specific juggles further, Ryo has character specific juggles that allows him to trade sides with the opponent, allowing for some rather stylish options. I guess the hitboxes for characters in the game are quite different afterall?

- adjusted starting amount of meters for character
- started opponent meters from zero
- removed 9 and added 11 combos (out of 10 and now making it 12)
- added KO effect to final combo

In this game he looks angry af, although I like this design a lot, also this is the best Ryo idle stance ever too

That seems to be a thing. In 14 he's getting frustrated by their lack of interest in training. They must be building to his Mr. Karate II persona.

@@IrishKyokushin I saw a Terry vs Ryo thread where people were saying that Ryo would lose because he's arrogant (massive Terry bias no surprise there). But in his arcade conversations he's clearly humble in KoF13. Very evident against his conversations with Joe, Terry, Ash, etc. Anyway he's definitely on his way to Mr. Karate and yeah, in KoF13 he looks like he's Akuma's brother lol.

I wish they could reproduce this idle stance on 3d 😢 This stance was way better then then xiv/xv. I like that "angry" Ryo, it reminds me kof 94 win pic where he looks really badass and his model in the first aof where he looks angry as well

I love how that last combo ends with with that neo max from behind. It was like she got hit so hard that physics got a brain injury.
I loved the one on Clark. I did that in a local tourney with an Xbox 360 pad.
Awesome as always!
I still see this game so superior compared to XIV and XV.

XV is imo better gameplay wise Visuals wise it's XIII, but I would take substance over style.

zawar salim Kyokugen karate is based off of Kyokushin Karate. Who's motto is "One strike. One kill" Hence why his Ultimate attack is one punch.

zawar salim You're welcome. Kyokushin is a Full Contact Knockdown Karate style. Kyokushin has increased in popularity in recent years due the K-1 Kickboxing league and Knockdown tournaments being streamed on the internet.

@@dayman161172 its a mixture of Shotokan and Goju-Ryu iirc. Plus techniques abd training methods he learned off of Muay Thai.
I really ought to buy this game again. I used to have it on PS3 and now I play on PC. I do have KOF 14 which is fun.

This is the best version of the KOF art style that we may ever see. XIV and XV means KOF will never be the same.

Ryo is an underrated Powerhouse. Even in 14. He's just not flashy enough for the tourney players.

Even though Ryo doesn't even play like a shoto. They might have similar special moves, but that doesn't make him a clone. Same can be said about Yuri, Robert, Takuma, and Mr. Karate. All shoto-esque characters in design, but other than that... They don't play anything like Ryu, Ken, blahblahblah.

John Kinney they're shotos in that they have a fireball,dp,and a range attack threw the years they have been changed to have a unique playstyle

So in kof XIII his fHp can cancel into specials, but doesn't in kof XIV 😑. Let's hope in kof XV it can cancel into special again 🙏🏽

You can still do very well without all these crazy combos as long as you're very good at footsies. These combos just allow for a lot of comeback potential and heavy punishes to those that aren't good at zoning.
