I assume Koenigsegg is being banned from Nurburgring run. The shift is really lightning fast compared to the F1 only the gear ratio is longer.

Fun fact; Niklas Lilja, the driver of this lap said he pushed the car with only 90% of its potential, because they went there only for testing and PR event (shooting the CCGT video), not for breaking lap record. So we are yet to see the Jesko Attack full performances.

When he reached the lap's top speed of 289 kph the car was generating over 1000kg of downforce according to Koenigsegg's spec sheet 😄 I hope they bring it to more tracks!

That Jesko still has over 1000 rpm left on the tachometer. Lots of short shifting too. And it was on pump gas. It has a lot more performance to give.

Nd if they only tested the track they probably didn't make a setup for the track so there is a lot of performance left there too.

Jesko is limited to 8000RPM on petrol. When on E85 the limit is increased to 8500RPM.

@@recon1673 Oh I’m definitely sure it’s possible knowing how much development has gone into improving the former cars. Every single new model they do is like 2x better so it probably has enough downforce to go through the hilly sections and get a lot of speed around corners. Rimac has already proven themselves and the Jesko Attack has way more downforce! Just need a good driver and some decent weather to perform the stunt.

@@iceslayer777not only does the Jesko have huge downforce, but it’s light (nearly a tonne lighter than the Nevera) and has a face-melting power-to-weight ratio. I wouldn’t be surprised if it beats the Mercedes Amg 1’s Nurburgring lap time.

Absolutely love seeing a Koenigsegg going around a track. Watching the 0-200-0 is cool, but it's like watching a power lifter just doing bench press, whereas a Koenigsegg on a road course is like watching that same power lifter taking part in a strongman competition. Both amazing feats, but I just love seeing the whole thing come together.

@@clintonezeh7556 what about the race cars with slicks? The hp is not a big advantage on the Gotland ring mate. 8 seconds without even pushing without a setup made for the track is insane. That lightly modified car also held the record at the Nürburgring for a while too.

Considering this was not a balls to the walls run, the car is super grippy and stable at low and high speed. Not once was there an oversteering moment, considering the car has 1600HP. Sure with a more focused lap run, the car lives more, but impressive none the less. This debunks the fact that Koenigeggs indeed handle great on track, especially this Jesko.

This was not 1600hp, it was not driven on E85, so probably more like 1200hp. Those extra 400hp on E85 probably makes next to no difference since it is more about grip, aerodynamics, and suspension to make a fast lap. Cheers 🍺

It looks even steeper in person, I actually ended up asking the owner and designer of the track how fast he'd think I could safely go over it without going airborne as my car obviously does not quite have the downforce of a Jesko etc. You also see absolutely nothing over that crest, not until you make it entirely over it will you see anything, and its very easy to carry speed into it. I've gone many laps on that track but never truly dared fully pushing it over there, feels like theres more you can give without issue but its a pretty intimidating crest in person, you wouldn't wanna completely fuck your suspension after all, youve already got the tyres and brakes to worry about.

Considering the amount of power this car has, I always imagined the gearshifts being really slow (imagine original single-clutch Aventador), but the shift speed looks PDK quick! Mind blown 🤯

This transmission is way beyond the pdk. The jesko has like 7 or 8 forward clutches and its own clutch for reverse. Plus it also launches using one of the clutches.

Never going to happen. They’ll never allow their cars to lose to anyone. It’s why you don’t see them in drag races.

Funny part is this was only done for testing purposes, not to get a lap record. Also was running on 93 octane instead of E85. So basically koenigsegg set a record accidentally without even trying😂

They didn't make the best setup for the track either. They weren't even shifting at the red line and lifted a lot too. They easily got aother 5 seconds or even 10 seconds.

its at least worth pointing out this track is on a swedish island and doesnt exactly see all that much traffic as far as hyper cars or similar is concerned. its a very fun track though with a very cheap price and well worth a visit. its in northern gotland so about 40 minutes or so drive from the ferry terminal you'd arrive at (Visby).

@@Smzxe yeah that's what tcs is for and the jesko has one of the mkst sdvanced tcs system... you will only get wheel spin when Starting from 0 lol, they probably did a flying lap.

Congratulations to Christian Von Koenigsegg and team. I love you, you break many physics and innovative creating many things which are too many to mention, triplex Suspension, air soft Carbon fiber wheels(many back then said is impossible for you to make) , lightning speed transmission etc etc too many. I myself, personal dream cars are both the Jesko Attack and the Regera. One with 9 lightning speed gears to play with, while another direct shift with no gear to change(only reverse). You are the man. I personally from Singapore. I had seen 2 Agera RS driving while I riding, I took photos of them. From videos and seeing them real are really super different. They are wide , superb beautiful and gave me backfire when they changed gears. I love Koenigsegg!!! Please break the Mercedes AMG One Nurburgring lap record which I strongly believe the Jesko Attack can do it! Love from Singapore

Thats really fast, is saw some Porsche 911 and BMW M4 full sends with times around 03:15 - 03:20. The fastest i saw was a 992 GT3 with 03:04. AMG GT4 03:08. McLaren 600LT 03:11.

Yeeh.. Give the driver a few more laps and the time maybe can go down a bit more. But the tarmac is quite new on this track for to most part. that gives a little extra just for now.
