    Enjoyed the video ... I've used a few of their products now - The glass cleaner, nano magic plast on some exterior plastics, Motorplast in the engine bay, FSE and recently tried Protector Wax - more for the family car and probably winter washes in a few months. Been happy with their products, but I've steered clear of GSF. I get the impression that their products are best paired with a dedicated cleaner for anything heavy - I think they are all quite gentle. I do have some Green star but I've only used that to clean down the kids trampoline after the winter!

    I looked on a few web pages and it says it leaves a semi-gloss finish. What do you think it looked like in person? Was it shinny or more of a natural sheen? Looks like it left a really rich finish. I just don't want anything shinny on my plastics. I like them just like they came from the factory. I guess I am more of a matte finish guy but this product looks really good. I've already got their "POL STAR" but this TOP STAR looks good as well. What I like about POL STAR is you can clean just about every surface in the interior with it except the glass.

  • @ObsessiveCarDetailer

    @ObsessiveCarDetailer

    2 жыл бұрын

    The Koch Chemie Top Star Interior Plastic Trim Semi-Matt will efficiently clean the interior plastic and rubber surfaces of your vehicle. It will provide a fresher look as Top Star leaves behind a semigloss, which will also permanently shelter your vehicle from dirt and UV rays, as well as eliminating the presence of static. Top Star should not be used on areas where slipperiness would be dangerous, such as pedals, steering wheels, or tyres. Koch Chemie PS Premium Plastic Care is the premium product in the area of plastic care products. Maintains and protects over months and is extremely UV-stable. The treated parts regain their original new semi-matt appearance thanks to a special care components system (wax-silicone dispersion), which bonds firmly with the treated surface. Stops door seals from freezing. The extremely long service life, fast and simple use and pleasant fragrance make Plast Star an unbeatable product. Optimally suited for tyres and rubber parts as well. Areas of use External plastic and rubber parts, tyres, door seals, etc.

    Great video Martin thank you. I’m looking for a new interior dressing but I’m always a bit hesitant when it says don’t use on the steering wheel etc. Would you say the finish is oily/slippery to the touch?

  • @ObsessiveCarDetailer

    @ObsessiveCarDetailer

    No I wouldn't say it feels slippery particularly but wouldn't use any dressing on a steering wheel unless its a leather one and then only a dedicated leather dressing. Any other type of contact area I would use an APC

    Hi, For rubber and plastics where you don’t want any chance of slipperiness, you can use Gummifix, also from Koch. It’s developed for that specifically.

    Hi, I did say in the video that normally I would use a cleaner first especially with a car as grubby as this one was but I wanted to demonstrate its cleaning ability. Take your point with the applicator but it was an old one destined for the bin 🤷🏻‍♂️
