It's just drywall ;). Sorry for some of the out of frame stuff, btw. I've gotta get used to the new setup. But at least I'll be able to start posting a lot more videos.

@@Mario-rj5of back when I bought it it was decent for the price but now the base kindle comes with built in light and it has a much better display. So I would say go with base kindle. Mine works just fine with occasional lags where I have to reset whole device. And some minor charging issues.

On other reviews of the aura, they say there's a feature called "Beyond the book". Mine doesn't have that feature, also they say you can borrow library books using Adobe digital editions; however, I haven't been able to get mine recognized by the computer when it's plugged in. I get a message on the ereader saying to connect, I click that, and it just charges it, there's no way that I can find to side load books using digital editions for epubs.

This is so hard to choose. The kindle has obviously better contrast and lighting but the kobo aura hd has a larger screen and better margins. The normal kobo aura has a flat screen but the contrast is way worse than either kobo hd or kindle. I'm stumped.. anyone here who has suggestions?

Does the screen freeze up during reading? My kobo mini have the tendency to freeze and basically stop working when I'm just 10-20 pages in. It's depressing :'(

I know!! Ahah, still, it creates a nice contrast with the usual smoothness of these devices... :)

I can't believe how poor that coloring of the screen is. Why is anyone going to buy it when the screen is at best last years technology? Thanks for the review.

The flat screen is not a good idea at all. Imagine the diffrence it makes if the reader gets dropped face-down on the floor.

OriginallyFamousHD Agreed. You would though give up on the biggest advantage of this reader which is its size. Anyway, I already bought two of these and it's hadns down the best reader out there. It fits in most pockets and handles PDFs pretty well. My brother has one too. Also, it did survive a few minor falls. They should have only added a feature to turn off touchscreen and some physical page swap buttons. The bezel is so narrow that its uneasy to hold without touching the screen.

k I have this eReader with a Gecko case and trust me, this doesn't make the eReader much bigger and makes it easier to hold.
