    Really good to see a guy doing work like this where he KNOWS what he's doing unlike some of the people on here doing Backhoe Repairs that will fail on the first day back at work (if they ever managed to get the pins into the misaligned holes that is) ........ Truly good to watch, great applause.

    I am just stunned by this guys knowledge of the art of welding and fabrication. I watched all three parts. Precision cuts on what has to be very thick steel (don't know if it's metric or US standard but it WAS thick shit!), knowledge of stress relieving prior to MIG work....and on and on. Apparently only one man! Sheesh. I hope he got a crap ton of $$$ (or equivalent to do all this work!)

    Whoever owns this machine needs a complete copy of this build. I know that when looking to buy used equipment and I see welding on the boom or stick I automatically get a leery feeling because oftentimes it was burnt together by uncle Billy- Bob with his Lincoln tombstone and a box of 6010 that has been open since Nixon was in office. However, watching this would dispel any of my suspicions of inferior work.

    I've watched a few welding and repair videos, and I've never seen anyone take the time to get to the backs of their welds as fully as you have. I would usually not say that a repair is as good as the original part, but yours very well might be better. I especially like the way you took the lubrication connector to the middle bushing (??), and re-made a part with some relief; better than the factory.

  • @jabond77

    @jabond77

    6 жыл бұрын

    Thanks! The thing is, an excavator should handle this extra weight/reach. If it doesn´t its underengineered. In scandinavia 99% of all excavators have a 0,5+ tons of coupler&tilt rotator mounted on top of the bucket and the machines handle it fine. Kobelco SK235 - not so good. :)
