This welder is a genius. Often I don’t know why he is doing certain things internally but it’s amazing.
Now that's how you do a repair, no compromises of work quality and of the highest standards. Excellent work ethic and craftsmanship.... I am really impressed.. Keep it up!
I have just realized, this being a one man operation, it is the most impressive video I have seen for ages!
This guy has got the gift. Hats off for a great video. I learned a lot.
Really good to see a guy doing work like this where he KNOWS what he's doing unlike some of the people on here doing Backhoe Repairs that will fail on the first day back at work (if they ever managed to get the pins into the misaligned holes that is) ........ Truly good to watch, great applause.
An amazing guy, virtually one man gang, whomever he works for should pay him well to keep his services...and a very nice video -kudos all around.
This was the best video ever. Thank you sir for taking your time to show your hard work. Thanks for sharing and please keep the videos coming.
Nice to see there are still true craftsman left in this world, great work 👌🏼

craftsman? with that dimensions tollerance? with such a welding weld width that weakens the entire structure ? This "quality" of repair is good for third world countries, even in Russia peoples doing its better : kzread.info/dash/bejne/hIait6-DkrTRl84.html

I do the same sort of work, and getting older, we have the younger people coming on now, hopeless, they spend more time on their bloody phones than working.

@@michalb8871 to you sir is say put up or shut up
Sir you are one hell of a fabricator. I have seen welders and I have seen fabricators and you are in the latter class. You could ply your trade anywhere in the world with those skills. Don't think they will break it again. Got good taste in music too......... Great job!!!!
I haven't seen craftsmanship like that since my Grandfather who was born in 1900, Great job, still like the tune also.
I never grow tired watching repair projects that involve both a powerplasma cutter and a powerarc welder.
Hope this guy has an apprentice now. Can't let those skills die out.
Impressive piece of work and it looks like it was accomplished by one man.
A total craftsman there. Amazing work and looks great.
jabond77 DAMN GOOD WORK!! KUDOS FROM THE USA. I have seen and Done good work in the past, And I must say you are a top level Welder/ Engineer. YOU Built that arm back better than a new part. Your skills are World Class. You deserve a Plasma Cam. (CNC Plasma table.) Exellent FABRICATION VIDEO SIR.
I am just stunned by this guys knowledge of the art of welding and fabrication. I watched all three parts. Precision cuts on what has to be very thick steel (don't know if it's metric or US standard but it WAS thick shit!), knowledge of stress relieving prior to MIG work....and on and on. Apparently only one man! Sheesh. I hope he got a crap ton of $$$ (or equivalent to do all this work!)
Top class welding repair , I would be very happy to be half as good as this guy....👍👍👍
Excellent travail de réparation, d'ingéniosité et de patience !! Et à moindre coût, je suppose. Bravo !
Man them gussets were a great idea man I like your work you do awesome work man keep it up
this guy is unbelievable in his work.he did it all solo on top of it.a true craftsman.years of skill to do that job
You got to love that homemade wrench, and the homemade rotisserie that was just awesome.

Dam heavy and hard job , you are very good man !
Excellent work master craftsmanship
good work man, much respect
très bien fait. un vrai professionnel. merci pour la vidéo et l info.
Whoever owns this machine needs a complete copy of this build. I know that when looking to buy used equipment and I see welding on the boom or stick I automatically get a leery feeling because oftentimes it was burnt together by uncle Billy- Bob with his Lincoln tombstone and a box of 6010 that has been open since Nixon was in office. However, watching this would dispel any of my suspicions of inferior work.

Ryan Ray when you see nice rounded plates and good welds 9 out of 10 times it is a good fix
I’m hoping after watching this video you upgraded your welding hood to one you don’t have to hold possibly? Awesome repair mark of a true professional. Good to see there are more of us out there!
GRANDE, un lavoro strepitoso.
I've watched a few welding and repair videos, and I've never seen anyone take the time to get to the backs of their welds as fully as you have. I would usually not say that a repair is as good as the original part, but yours very well might be better. I especially like the way you took the lubrication connector to the middle bushing (??), and re-made a part with some relief; better than the factory.
This guy is a fabricating beast!
Thank you for this video.
Du är jäkligt grym på det du gör !
Nice Videoand very good taste in Music. Sabaton, Motörhead.....
Yes, Obi-Wan Kenobi thank you for sharing your knowledge. This the second time that I watched this clip.

Very impressive!
Хорошая работа, мастер!
Awesome fabricating my friend, obviously not your first Rodeo!
Snyggt jobbat!
Nice job 👍
Great job
Boom cracks are mostly from side loading twisting boom causes torsional cracks . Voids CAT warranty. No swing backfilling allowed. Only straight pull push. Nice work. Usually I see old boiler plate welded crooked on boom. Yours looks factory. Shalom
good thanks
Wow it's nice sir.
I‘m guessing the fancy parabolic ends aren’t just for looks? More strength due to a much longer weld? Do I hear Sabaton?
مشاء الله .بالتوفيق.
Very good job☺
good job bravo
nice job !
wondering what kind of wire welding you use, for the thickness of material i would think its a pretty high amperage and duty machine. Mind sharing with a fellow welding and repair men?
Good job dude

So one person can make an excavator that much. From now I don't need any assistance, I can do it too.
astonishing work you have shown miss working in the trade is in a very serially vehicle accident it left me fully disabled it was the hardest for me to see my rig sold and leave my shop used it 4 times before I got injured it sucks when you were happing in doing something you like I am in a battle with my parents right now they what me to give up my animals to it very hard to give them up some got attached to me most of them have had a very hard life before I found or heralded them it not fair for them to be put down they are having hard to find a good home for them they are wild animal all of them have a story why they are here without me they would not be alive now I spend most of my time with them now if I do not need the help in need I would not have any more to do they, my birth parents, as a child they gave me up for adoptions I had a strong will to be here finally the day I never looked forward too I was adopted it was sad the day that I had to go to my best friend and I had planes have our birthdays together we were going to be 6 the lady taking me to the airport to fly to my new family they put me in a small helicopter to be taken there when I got to the place was a very big surprise my great-great-grandparent adopted me plus my friend and I had our birthday together too after that one it just got worse year after my step was trying to make up for the mistakes his parents made he got the call to go to Afghanistan his wife and 2 girls I kept in touch too they came to my 7 birthday too I did not know my brother was going to cell me that night too he wished me a happy birthday and I haerd a bomb explorion I hear people talking it was not my brothers vioce I sceemed I know he died the other poeple were very good they go help right way for me I lost hope that night the exit year I lost my best friend too she was deaf and she hears she had to move her dad went to japan to work she heard it was a divored the day of our birthday I found her in the barn and she hung herself she said she did not what her parent to have one and the only choice she had was to kill her self it was very hard on my after that her parents took her ern to japan they send it back to my and the sell of there fram to me did put her to rest there with her parent they were in the tsunanis I asked my sister inlaw if we could put my brother there to as for a family cemetery it up to them to make the choice we did put him there too I did open it to my friends family to use too my birth parents made a very bad choice not talking to my adopted parents before the pulled the plug on me they taking me off of life support my adopted parent very up sat with it I was plug back in the doctor where not very helpful for to keep telling them I was pretty much died I am alive and about to stand and walk not the help of physiotherapy I am able to do my animals they believe in me sorry i have couple they live with us have a blind cougar and owl that is in the same boat i am in she, wings were broken she cannot fly any more my adopted parents move in with me now and we have a home care nurse live in there house now

Great work! 👍👍👍 Hello from Russia!
先生!勉強になりました!
The way kobelco should have made in from factory Companies selling garbage
Looks good I dont think no ones called the welding police yet.
Fachowa robota.
I wish I could do something like that.
Is there anyway you can tape a welding lens to your camera so they can watch you weld I think that's a whole new ballgame there then they can see what's really happening all they can see is Sparks and Light that would be so cool if you can watch the well can you make it happen
Awesome work and really cool video. Do you think the extra weight and stress combined with moving the bucket further out by adding the tilt coupler had any effect?
@jabond77
6 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The thing is, an excavator should handle this extra weight/reach. If it doesn´t its underengineered. In scandinavia 99% of all excavators have a 0,5+ tons of coupler&tilt rotator mounted on top of the bucket and the machines handle it fine. Kobelco SK235 - not so good. :)
Good video sar
That repair is at least twice as strong as factory original!!
Muy bueno..
Maybe you can put one of them automatic lenses on your camera as soon as Arc is struck they'll be able to see it will be able to see that would be too cool
