I would just watch a lot of videos before you do it to make sure you are doing it right and using the right materials , I recommend checking out Dejesus Custom Footwear on KZread. They do a lot of tutorials and give lots of good information that helped me out a ton

Ryan Leonard I used angelus leather paint, I’ve heard paint pens don’t last as long
