I grew up watching this dude. When the playoffs hit with Kobe and shaq kobe went from the star player to the fuckin assassin . He got meaner tougher brought this swagger to his game . Nobody could get him unfocused and he was never shy of the moment. I love shaq but if you look at history I think shaq needed Kobe more than Kobe needed shaq. All kobe needed was a GOOD big man to alleviate some pressure off him (gasol ) and he could take you to the ship .and win . In 01 and 02 playoffs Kobe was on another level. He shredded everyone they faced a d carried the team when shq was in constant foul trouble

Unlike these other soft players these days, "NEEDING" other Superstars to get that chip. Shouldn't be called King if you can't get it done wit what you had, or have! He left back to Cleveland to another superstar in Kyrie. If Kyrie wasn't there I bet he would have stayed wit Wade! Not hating just statin! Ok maybe a lill hate coming out... Thats due to my damn Lakers ain't doin shit this year! Keep JC and Hill next season Lill Bus!!!

People can say what they want about the series being fixed and the Game 6 being the worst officiated which are true but the Kings blew a 20 point lead in Game 4 when they dominated the Lakers in Staples in Games 3 and 4 that led to that stupid Vlade tap out instead of securing the rebound. Then in Game 7 with the home court advantage they missed 15 free throws in Arco and Peja air balling that 3 in the corner in the 4th quarter with seconds remaining. Mike Bibby was the only player who thrived on the big moments for Sacto because he wasn't afraid and played great against LA. Kobe was phenomenal and clutch in this series, Shaq is the best player but Kobe's development and his ability to be fast and create his own shot makes the Lakers much harder to defend because without Kobe that they can zone in on Shaq. At the same time Shaq's presence created driving lanes for Kobe and wide open looks. Which I continue to say Shaq and Kobe complimented each other so well. The leader of this team was Phil Jackson hands down.

Typical Kob in 4:40. Shaq to this point got 23 PPg kob 26 ppg. Know why? Threy were up againts portland and Spurs whot got Centers and PF that can slow down Shaq but they don't have an answeragaints Kob. But since the dumb narrative kob got carried by Shaq is also depending only in the finals MVp and why not put the Playoffs MVP and see whou would won more in the 3 peat? Shaq or Kob. Of course Kobe will. He dominates 3 rds of west before they switched back to Shaq because east doesn't have the players who can slow him down.

You mean the series that was "fixed" by the officials and the NBA the kings had the championship game 6 was the worst game of officiating in the NBA

Yeah, there was bad officiating in Game 6, but the Kings choked that series away. The ones they should be blaming the most are themselves. Blowing a 20 point lead and a last second, game-winning 3 from Robert Horry in Game 4, where if they had just hung on and secured that rebound instead of batting it back out to him, they would have had a 3-1 lead heading back to Sacramento for Game 5. Or how about Peja Stojakovic airballing a wide open 3 from the corner that would have given them the lead with less than one minute left in the 4th quarter of Game 7?
