Some people actually hated this guy?? The hardest worker, humble, gives credit to others, respectful, family man, and a killer on the court who dropped 81 points! One of a kind!

it was the media agenda from the beginning. his own teammates hated him when he was just an 18 year old kid smh nobody wanted to see him do well and there was no other reason aside from the fact that he was confident.

Players will come and go but when all is said and done there will no one who single handedly captivated a city for so long. While Kobe was there people came to watch the Lakers. He gave his heart and soul to the franchise and its fitting he will retire a Laker. Maybe he could have won 7. Maybe he isn't the GOAT. As long as there will be debates and ones that are credible ones...Kobe's name will always be there. We mention Wilt and folks don't realize. People will mention Jordan years from now and folks wont understand. Similarly people will mention Kobe and people will be hardly able to fathom the greatness.

He had 62 vs. Dallas and sat out the 4th quarter. He easily could have had 81 if not more in the Dallas game too. Pretty incredible isn't it?

That's what makes kobe great and different from lebron even though I have huge respect for both, Kobe doesn't care about the individual accomplishments all he cares about is getting the W and being a champion which is the main goal, Unlike james he does care about getting the W but he gives more attention to making his stats look better, getting more individual accolades and trying to hard to make himself look good, If you wanna be a winner you have to focus on whats important getting the W cuz even though you scored 50+ points and have a triple double, as long as you don't get the W it's useless, that's what the game is all about not just the game but any game, it's not about the records or stats, it's about winning the game. But that's just my opinion.

Kobe had 81 points, 6 reb and 2 assists If you watched the game, you would see that for the majority of the game lakers were trailing. Kobe sat out more than half the 2nd quarter. So to say he was selfish would he ignorant of you. He literally put the team on his back, as you can see the lakers roster was shit that season. Ever wondered why he didn't drop 70 in another season? Cause the team got better, he didn't have to. Plus for you guys who have played ball before, any smart coach knows once a player is hot, you always feed him the ball. Stop the LeBron and kobe comparisons, everyone has their own opinions. In basketball there is one way to compare players and is by one on one. That will probably never happen, so let LeBron continue to make his name, and let kobe retire as one of the greatest to ever play the game. Give respect where respect is due

At 7:00. This is so true, people need to stop comparing them. Kobe, Jordan, and Lebron should be appreciated for the dedication and what they built with these organizations. They were the center peice and what made these teams so great. Lebron brought the Cavs to 5 finals and one championship in the last 50 years is something else. Michael Jordan going to the only 6 finals appearances and winning all of them for the city of the Chicago is great. Kobe's performance and the way he played every night on both ends of the floor is something we don't see much nowadays.

He averages 5 assists a game career wise, how many shooting guards can say that? Kobe is a heavily underrated passer because he shoots a lot, people tend to forget how many assists he gets. On a night like this though, where his shot is flowing and you want him shooting as much as possible, you DON'T want him to pass as often because him putting up the shot is going to be more efficient than anyone on the floor.
