Hi David & Nong the Sunday roast looked good. As for buying Chinese cars from a retired trained master motor mechanic/car dealer( Rolls Royce ) British Leyland Jaguars Rovers and everything in between. I would recommend sticking with the proven Japanese car builders like Toyota; Lexus, Honda, Mazda especially in Thailand we’re they never look after there vehicles. The resale valve on these EVs car will be shit, the only give you 8 years warranty on the batteries and that does not cover the normal depletion on the batteries in that period. So in 8 year times they car will be basically worthless, just recently Hertz has announced there are selling off 20;000 of the EVs because of cost of insurance claims be so high and the depreciation is also to high. I could go on regards this topic for hours but it’s only my opinion and 50 years in the motor trade. Keep up the great work Irish Paul

100% - stay away from any EV - huge depreciation IF you can even manage to resell or trade it in - horrendous for the environment, a fire risk, lack of charging infrastructure, eat tyres, the list goes on...

Another great video and you make such a great couple; it’s nice to see people being very content with life 😊👍🏻 Makes me work all the more towards my dream of moving out there on a retirement visa in 2/3 years.

These Chinese cars do look very nice but here is a huge word of warning for any potential buyers. I was looking at a YT vlogger from South Africa who lived and worked in China for years. There is a huge problem all over China with their electric car batteries suddenly catching fire spontaneously without any warning! And the really dangerous part is the battery fires are so very hard to extinguish and the fire has spread rapidly to other cars and buildings. The Chinese Government has tried successfully to have an almost total media ban on this news getting spread in and outside of China and especially to foreign countries. He was filming in secret. David it is not worth the risk or to put Nong's life or your own in danger. Thanks for showing your viewers these EV cars but personally I would never buy any Chinese car. I know you said you are just looking but I would just stick to any good proven Japanese built cars Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Nissan, Mitsubishi their engines are so reliable. For now I am happy to stick to owning a diesel car and an automatic. David if you have any spare time is it possible to make a few videos on 3 bedrm with 3/4 bathrms Luxury pool villas for sale with a its own private pool size around 9-10 mtrs length x 4/3 mtrs wide with a jacuzzi if possible. Double or Single covered car port. Landscaped gardens. I am more looking to buy (cash sale) a Re-sale single bungalow style property in the suburbs of Pattaya or within 15-20 mins drive from Centre of Pattaya. In 2015 I have already tried to emigrate to live in Thailand permanently but my ex Thai girlfriend decided to return back to love in Austria and now in Switzerland. My budget for land and property is around 7 million baht. I still have to buy a new saloon car like the Honda City 1.5ltr RS but I am still deciding plus one Honda motorbike for myself. I will keep my fingers crossed that maybe you can take your lovely partner Nong with you to do some viewings when she has time to get out of the bar. I retired early so now I am looking for a nice quietish place to retire too. When I next come to Pattaya I would be happy to take you and Nong out for lunch as a thank you if you can show me some reliable honest property real estate agents and name & addresses of solicitors. Yeah Ok . And I go to Robin's for a Cesar Salad and get it without croutons or bacon , then to Coctail Corner and instead of before 2 hamburgers you get only one nowadays . Bad day . Should have gone to the Dark Side , except that I'm not Luke Skywalker.🤪 BYD : that is a nice car and decent price compared to electric cars in Europe.

Dave and nong , great video buddy ,your meal at the kobb restaurant looked huge and very good value, the crispy pork that nong had is one of my favourite meals or snack when I come to Thailand , I absolutely love it , that Chinese car looked very nice , I haven’t heard of them before , a bit pricey for a Chinese built car , stick to your bike 55555 😆

I wouldn’t be buy a BYD Tesla is the best electric vehicle unless you go up in price. Think I’ll stick with hybrid Toyota.

Tesla here is double the price of the BYD...but neither for us in a condo is suitable. I'll probably just stick with the electric bicycle and my wee Mazda diesel 🤣🤣

So just about bang on 10 quid for that roast set. Honestly for the portion size and quality of the ingredients and cooking I'd say that was exceptional. A la carte where i live the home made soup would be 5-6 quid, the full roast itself about 16-17 quid and the pudding again about 5 -6. So sort of 26-29 quid all in A tenner is really amazing value. And its not like this is standard fare, usually you pay much more for home comforts abroad. So that's UK prices my neck of the woods but in somewher like the the Philippines you're not getting that quality period. In Hong Kong where I spend most of my time you'll get that standard but you'll pay through the nose. I had a really good set recently for 499 HKD. So about 2200 baht.

@@stevehodsonleedsutd Oh, ok, your message totally confused me but I think actually what you've maybe done is quoted the entire bill in pounds, including all his wife's food and drink, when I was clearly talking about a roast dinner with appetizer and desert v UK price. Well I thought I'd been clear since I even itemized everything but I guess not clear enough 🙄 I don't honestly know what her food cost v UK but I'm assuming also much less.

Sunday roast doesn't look special and even with Thai food should be served together ! If you want fresh and quality Sunday roast cooked only on Sunday and not microwaved, I can recommend places in Chiang Mai. The best you will find !!
