This specifically is more drum n bass in my opinion. Also, neurofunk. Sadly, there's nothing quite like Koan sound's sound out there, at leat not as far as i know

Listen to Culprate, Opiuo, Burial, Disprove, Phonat, Reso, edIT... they are similar, even if everyone is unique. Genre is drum and bass, neurohop, glitch hop, it is difficult to say. It is KOAN Sound & Asa

you guys should visit the neuro hop forum. Great genre discussions over there. As far as this song goes, it's basically Neuro hop with a garage style beat. The style of bass you are taking about is a reese/neurofunk bass. for neurofunk (neuro at dnb speed) listen to spor, noisia, Black sun empire, joe ford emperor, optical, ed rush etc. For more this neuro hop style (Neuro at glitch hop speed) listen to KOAN sound, Teknian, Culprate, Frequent, Evoke, Au5, Kursa, MakO, R.O, Reso, Skope, Tipper etc.

This is most definitely neurofunk, as stated above. The beats aren't simple 2-step as glitch hop, much like dubstep, takes use of.
