KO LANTA TO PHUKET (via Phi Phi)
From leaving the hotel in Ko Lanta to arriving at hotel in Phuket took seven hours, involving two ferries and transfers. Total cos, 1200 THB.

Sitting in Angel Bakery in Subic bay Barreto, Philippines. enjoying your video Eddie.sun is shining what more can you want.
Little Edds looking for some action. He's better heading up to Kamala as no rip off merchants up there. Little Edd will end with a scabby head if he hangs out about Patong.
Eddy .. I would like to take that big ferry to Phuket just back and forth. Very pleasant. But small boats do get me sea sick I got sick on that large Nicaragua lake. A nice Nica lady came over to help me. This just reminded me that the nicest people can be the poorest.
Must be nice kumasta Ganda Umaga pretty good picture
Eddie walking the tiny plank with suitcase, and with ‘Mother Theresa lookalike’ laughing in the background, hilarious!! Great vlogs mate, even when out of sequence, keep ‘‘em coming, and see you in Pattaya soon, for a nice cold beer, I hope. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Ed, that was great and a much more sedate boat journey from phi phi but a bit too long for me I’m afraid- have a great time in Phuket and please show us around Kamala beach, both day and night if possible 🙏😊🇬🇧
Thank god that trip was smoother i couldnt stomach another speeeeeeeeeedboat trip (Heuy) great vid mate
Love the sound tracks into phuket at end feels like 007
Looked a very decent trip that Eddie! Not a fan of boats but that looked fine to be honest. Phi Phi looks amazing! not been there yet but must try it 👍Cheers Eddie! all the best mate

Nice adventure Eddy Real travel 👍
I always try and travel with as little as possible, just a very small backpack, its always with me when I’am on boat and bus/van trips. It’s very liberating to do, also very light to carry when your walking around. You really don’t need many clothes when traveling in tropical countries! Thanks for these vlogs Eddie traveling to and from Koh Lipe, they give us some great info 😊. I was on Ko Phi Phi recently, still worth visiting, I liked the hiking you can do there, as Gabriel Traveler showed on his recent vlog 🏃
Beautiful area eddie looking forward to the rest of your vlogs

It's positively frightening to think how many years I was mispronunciating words like Phi Phi and Phuket before I found your channel. Anyhoo, boat travel is a lot more treacherous than I was led to believe by watching reruns of the Love Boat... your journey is more reminiscent of the movie "The Life Acquatic with Steve Zissou 🐬."

Welcome to Phuket mate. Been here a few days already and it is mad busy!!! N
Love Thailand will be there in a couple of months gave up Island hopping years ago they all seem to be much the same. I bet you can't tell me what was so amazingly original about the last Island you visited🙏🏼🇹🇭🇬🇧😁
Eddie, if your in patong can you do some filming around the otop bars , thanks mate.👍
All that transport is run by local families (think mafia) hence the way everything is 'organized' and how the passengers safety is the top priority lol. Been like that for 20+ years. Doubt it will ever change.
11:53 ... worth to hold still for a while ... as we love landscapes ;)
Wow, my 90 yrar old grand mother did that trip, Eddie go hard core my dude.
The phi phi islands are on the top of my list.
i got a air con taxi car from patong to phi phi boat terminal for only 1000 baht in 2019 just before covid...
Very steady video
👍
Your taxi van took you though part of Phuket city old town. It's worth going back there for a day trip.
Looks like a good adventure in it's self and good music choice with headphones on through the trip. (Eherm ) :-) I am suprised your first question on at least one craft you were boarding wasn't "Where's the bar" ? :-)

Went to Ko Lanta last month to visit Wife's friend. Nice beach. Old Town with a few empty restaurants. Nice Night Market. Overall ok. Not great. AO Nong a much better option.
Well made video Ed. Very nice filming indeed. I just love the trip between Phi Phi and Phuket. Great to see the economy there looking busy with all those people rebuilding lives and businesses post the Aunt Iris. 🍻

You had me laughing Eddie. The psychotic pilot!!!! I pictured you in that last horrible boat. Safe travel wishes.
I am not a lover of boats or water and have heard a few Horror stories about boat trips in Thailand.Phi Phi looked a bit different from my first trip in Dec 1989 when there were only a few wooden shacks.Cheers
Watching this video and I am singing to myself the theme song from Gilligan's Island.
Sorry to see u r sick mate. Hopefully just a 24 hr bug like it was for me n Barb.
Eddie you are becoming a seasoned sailor. Have you gotten your tattoo yet?😊
My, how Thailand has changed . I am always surprised at how rustic places can develop into something only the truly dull can enjoy. But sometimes being dull for a week or two is what you need.
nice one mate

a backpack is a must. A suitcase ruins the experience LOL
So you got on a ferry where there was food and drink and you did not get a beer, are you feeling ok? Great video
Phi Phi has recovered well except the coral quite a few years ago went for snorkeling and island trip lucky the fish is swimming around but may take a long time for the coral to recover.
I remember one Thailand trip a few years ago, I took the overnight train from Bangkok to Surat Thani, then a minibus to the ferry terminal to take me to Koh Phagnan for the full moon party. Did an all nighter and stayed up to catch the ferry back the next day, then got another minibus from Surat Thani to Krabi (which I slept on), then another ferry over to Phuket. Once in Phuket, I was supposed to catch a minibus to take me to Patong, which I had already paid for in advance, but it appeared to have left without me. While I was looking around, wondering what I was going to do and how to avoid getting fleeced by a taxi driver, this Indian couple asked me if I was okay, and when I told them my situation, they offered me a lift. They were part of a big party of friends and family and had hired a whole coach. There was a lively atmosphere, as it was someone’s birthday, they were playing music and some were singing, and the people in the seats around me offered me some food, which was great because I hadn’t eaten all day and I love Indian food. I know some people like to complain about all the Indians in Thailand, but these people were so welcoming. They had no reason to give me a ride and share their food, and they never asked for any money. They did it because they saw someone in trouble and they wanted to help.

@@STEADY599 that’s what I love about travelling, the places and sights you see are great, but it’s the people you meet, especially as a solo traveller, that’s what makes truly amazing memories. I remember, in Amsterdam, a group of Germans on a stag weekend, inviting me to join them after they recognised me helping pull a guy out of the canal, who had fallen in., earlier in the night. On the same trip, joined a a fellow English guy and his dad around some coffee shops, after I helped him avoid being robbed. Then there was the time at a restaurant in Siem Reap, when the owner inviting me to join the party they were having for his daughter’s birthday, because he saw that I was eating alone. When I went back a year latter, I brought some colouring books and pens and gave them to him for his daughter as a belated birthday gift.
👌👍
It’s 730pm Feb 9 and I am at the Expat hotel. Eddy if you are nearby I would love to shake your hand and buy you dinner. I’m here for another week.
Bloody Hell, the bloke driving the taxi with two phones in his hands.
I initially thought the boat change was a scam or to combine 2 boats together to save money but it looks genuine. Have fun

Nice VDO, Ed 👍 Phi Phi looks completely over developed and ruined now. Not sure that the story about the boat pilot being arrested for not being qualified was factual though ?. Have fun in Phuket 👍
2010 last time I was in phucket
If 1 ferry can take all the people from both ferries the thai will do it, they do know how to save money. Same when I went to phi phi from phuket we were in and out of 3 boats there and 3 boats back lol. I could understand the big ferry stays in deep water but swaping 2 small boats of the same size ? Unanswered to this day, but they got us there and back was the main thing.
Is maylasia worth a visit
It would have been interesting to see how phi phi has changed. I was there pre tsunami, so it will have changed a lot I guess!
