Yeah I think Scru’s talented, but he’s a hip hop gatekeeper. He clearly doesn’t like white rappers. He’s pulled the race card with people like Upchurch in the past when Upchurch didn’t even bring up race, Scru did. He doesn’t like when people don’t conform to his idea of hip hop, he pretty much said that nerdcore rappers have to adhere to his “rules of hip hop.” Then Scru went at 954Mari and got cooked. Matter of fact, Scru’s gotten cooked by everyone he’s battled with for a while now: Upchurch, Luke Gawne, 954Mari, Dax, Samad Savage, Knox Hill, etc. For someone who claims to be a veteran of rap battles, Scru can’t seem to win one to save his life.

The first verse in Scru's song had a scheme that brought up hard knock life (he put hardknox in parenthesis) and ended the verse with "die on that Hill" implicatively. He started with sneak dissing switched to bragging then tried to go for his throat. I don't think Scru gave him "like forty seconds" I think the whole song was for Knox as bait. Only thing is I doubt Scru can back it up

@@Core10knee Long story short, like 4 years ago, VI seconds and gained had a little back and forth. After the fact, Gawne wanted to make a track with VI. VI initially refused, got convinced behind the scenes to make the track by Scru, and to hype up Gawne to diss everyone. Gawne... did, and since VI fed Scru info in advance, Scru instantly released a diss in tandem with Gawne and VIs collab, which feels like a hella sleazy move on his part. Weird thing is, a lot of the stuff Scru said on that Gawne diss track concerning clout chasing applies to him, and since the whole fiasco at the time was set up by him, those same arguments would still apply to him back then. He also fully turned on crypt for no apparent reason around then, who I would classify as one of the nicest contributors the YT rap scene has seen.
