Oh wow, this is a fascinating location 😊 very cool they built a church right in the middle of old earthworks. There must be so much history hidden beneath there. Including burials dating back 1000’s of years 😊 great video and sharing
Amazing church ruin. Fantastic to see that there is still so much left of the church.

Another nice movie you have made and it is a joy to watch these ruins while listening to your narration. Places like this connect us to our past and to the things that are beyond our world. And if there is a place that should be haunted it is these ruins. I think I would have been on edge standing there on a dark winter night for sure. Loved your drone shots and especially the sequence looking down on the church - that is a very nice shot! All the best, Ant

Hi, Alessa. It's a beautiful ruin with a great history on the mound. "Epic!" I may say using your word. I also fascinated by those "Clouties"(?)...colorful rags or strips of cloth, which are quietly or even secretly tied to branches of a little grotesque-looking tree(Oak)? So they are not something cursed, right? Did PPL make Wishes? Hopes? Prayers? Sings, pins, flowers, coins... This place is one of the sites where villagers and pagans who fill sacred with respect for the spirits of the land. Well done. Of course, Brett's drone footage creates a cinematic film. 🙋♀🙋♀💦💦You, two go on rafting next summer😁😁

churches often built around the trees rather than the trees planted at churches ⛪️ 🌳?
@PinnedonPlaces

I think normally trees are planted first considering how old some Yew trees can get, but this one i believe they built the church then the tree at the end of the site so it was close enough for the rituals that may have gone on here?! :D Interesting right?
