Yeah, like at so many points, his choices are: Go to jail because, ya know, he did fully murder a bunch of people for money; or he could kill someone who doesn't deserve to die

With the amount of clowning in this show, it's INCREDIBLE how tense & emotional some scenes are. Solid finale!

The thing about Janice is that if she played it off, I don't think anything would have changed. Barry already planned on killing her, we see it with the gun strapped to the tree. She was dead the moment she stepped out with the laptop

Can't believe Sheera figured out half the show by the end of season 1, the Sheeragan is real

The way this show uses comedy to catch you when you're not ready is BRILLIANT. All the darkness and horror at the heart of what's happening just cuts all the deeper, because the jokes lull you into thinking that things can't get THAT bad or go THAT wrong.

The thing about all the mistake Janice made is that she was SCARED. Like, i'm in front of a monster/demon scared. The whole serie does this thing about Barry being kinda silly and cute but imagine having him as a friend and it is scary af.

Sheeragan strikes again. I’m beginning to think that Sheera is a stand user of unparalleled potential with the ability to shape reality itself, but for whatever reason she just uses it to make shows turn out the way she thinks they will.

I think Janice had a split second decision to make. Maybe she thought that Barry knew he was made and there was no way of knowing how dangerous being in the cabin with him was.

This show can make you wish for Barry to take characters out, then there are some characters that you like that get taken out. At the end of the day, Barry is still killing people, which doesn't help his sanity.

Agree with Lupa on how Janice handled the scenario. She isn't a trained hitman that professionally fakes her emotions - she was caught off-guard; followed by the emotional crash learning the person she had a meal with was a murderer.

One of the best shows of all time. And from Bill Hader too! Can't wait for the rest of the show. Great reactions guys and Sheera putting the pieces together.

You know, Barry is a terrible person. It's easy to forget when he's sort of silly and dumb, and played by Bill Hader, but he's just a cold, selfish person, who kills without hesitation when it suits him. Even if it haunts him, like Chris, he still makes the decision to end lives to save himself from facing the consequences of his actions. But the show does a great job of making us want to root for him, until we actually stop and think about it. I'm sure there's some commentary in that.

Well… no shit, obviously he’s terrible. The reason why people root for him is because he’s trying so hard to actually make an effort to NOT kill, but at the same time is blinded by his goal to live a normal life to where he doesn’t even realize that there’s no way to actually escape this constant loop of killing that fuches put him in ever sense he was in his 20s, or even earlier unless he brings himself in. He finally finds a community and a person like gene that he can actually talk to, and understandably doesn’t want to lose that. He’s BEEN needing people like gene all his life and a community to be with, but we all obviously know it’s too late for that.

@@Yuh_zhimmy Ok no need to be rude. My point is that the show is good as distracting us from the fact that he's so far gone even his attempts at being "good" are rooted in selfishness. He doesn't care about not killing people because it's good or right, otherwise he'd turn himself in. He just wants to play dress-up as a normal guy and pretend he hasn't killed boatloads of people, many of them likely innocent, for a simulated moral high without any of the hard work or regard for who gets hurt along the way. His circumstances are sad but he made his bed.
