I was born here, lived my entire life here, and I'm going to die here. Spreading my ashes over the lake and Mt. Konocti. I love this place.

Sure would like to do some cave spelunking. But, like everything else. Someone else wants to think for you and close it off for your safety. Where would this country be if our past explorers couldn’t explore because it might be dangerous? I’ll sign the waver. Let me explore. And yes. I know the volcano can put off poisonous gasses. Like any active volcano.

1949, cave, snow on mountain,, walnut orchard, above "rump" of horse against the hill. Hole, abut twelve feet, then turn and want back ,south, caves in now and then weathers open. never there when full open. Filled in by owner for insurance reasons. Konocti ( Uncle Sam) . Clear Lake is a caldera, largest entirely within the state of california. The current general level of the lake is controlled by a dam at the head of Cache Greek, The dam controls the contracted out flow for down stream farmers, etc. Early settlers blew up a natural dam to control the shore line flooding.

Having roads go along the edge of the lake delivers pollution to the lake...move roads away from the edges and the lake will be cleaner
