Pocket doors can subtract some inconvenience from a rewire. There was the Villanova house you did a couple months ago which had the front door channeled inward from the front wall like this one does, and I was wondering if that one's porch light was easy or difficult. That house appeared to still have a servant-call system in place. I guess the servant calls are telephone-based/style wires and voltages? I got rid of the remaining K&T in my house a couple summers ago, (ceiling lights and upstairs outlets, plus I added an upstairs laundry, and ran six 12 gaugers to the kitchen) and I started with the porch light because my ignorant azz thought it would be the easiest run - it was only up the wall from the switch, another few feet in the foyer ceiling, and then out through the brick wall four or five feet through the porch-roof to the fixture... LOL @ me... A week later I finally got my 14-2 to dangle out of that fixture hole. There was a light fixture on it and burning bright probably less than 15 minutes later... I think I e-mailed you bragging about it if you remember, since I never logged into youtube/google back then, and couldn't comment here. My house had already had a partial rewire with some circuits added back in the 1970s. I'm sure they went from 60 amps with fuses, to the 70 or 75 amp box with breakers which is now also gone. Last summer I had a 200 amp box put in by a pretty major local company - and it failed the first inspection because they'd used a too small ground wire. They sent out two young guys who did get it done in a day, but they also dropped the ball on labelling the new box... They had to come back and run a new ground. I also got a new drop from the street out of it. Soon I'll have an electrician come out and connect all of the new circuits I added, since I ain't going in any main box... Please keep the videos coming! Potential topics are nearly endless. Tools would be a good topic, as would a shop tour, truck tours too. Maybe even a vid about the bidding process.

Dan E. Boyd I’ll make a van and shop vid. Front porch fixtures are always a challenge. This one in the video was tough, as bad as the blind fish from last August. Thanks for the comments brutha.
