I have been amazed by the number of knives stocked at Cabela's over the last couple of years. It has been a good place for knife enthusiast to shop.

Been to Bass Pro about 5 times in the last year and the employees are always helpful and pleasant to talk to

I live in Ireland and of course we don’t have cabelas but I used to be able to purchase online, unfortunately they stopped posting to Northern Ireland 😢

The price match is awesome....as expensive as some knives are getting being able to actually hold them and feel the action is much better than looking at a picture on a screen.

@@Ryan.S924 I think the price she found WAS online, because we don't do newspapers (or catalogues, really) in my house. If I remember right, she showed the guy at the register *before* he started to ring it up... All you gotta do is ask, and all *they* can do is say, "no" - Good luck

@@jmmartin7766 yeah I finished the video and found out they do match online prices. I wasn’t sure if it was just with other big box stores or anywhere online. Glad they care to hook it up even if it’s just a little. Hard to beat vortex warranty.

Cabelas is where I bought most of my knives starting out. Got my first nice knife, the Benchmade griptillian there.

That D2 mini grip and orange bladed bugout are cabelas exclusives . I have a cabelas about 10 minutes away.

Honestly the selection is pretty good. It has basically everything from budget to mid-range. Once you get past $300 I think you get into enthusiast territory.

That CF 940 would be my choice

There is a huge Cabelas about 45 min southwest of me. In WV. It’s gigantic. I love going there. Now I need to take a trip to Cabelas

Well I watched this and seen that grey bugout with the blaze orange blade and raced to my local Cabela’s and picked one up 😅 it’s their exclusive. thanks guys!

I’ve always had great experiences at Cabelas. The counter guys are more than happy to chat about knives and it’s nice to be able to handle things like Benchmade and Case, even Spyderco, so you can pick the one that feels best put together. Only drawback is the inventory gets a bit stale. They run the same models for a loooong time.

Of course they know Frankie speaks goat. Who doesn't know Frankie speaks goat? Everybody knows Frankie speaks goat.

Here in CA we have Bass Pro which is the company that bought Cabelas. Thanks for bringing us along. 👍

I was at a Cabelas/Bass Pro recently looking through the typical selection of Case knives and found an antique bone Case Tribal Lock. As a Case collector, it was a nice find.

Great little tour guys. I experienced pretty much the same feel of the Cabela's store They have most of the standard Benchmade,CRKT,Buck and traditional knives. I don't have a store located near me but when ever I travel I always check them out all on the east coast so I don know if they differ regionally. I was scrolling for something else today and had to stop and watch when I saw Frankie.

I got one of the Cabela's 'Alaskan Guide' Buck 110. Brass hardware, rosewood, and S30V steel. It had the 'Alaskan Guide' logo on it, but not a particular fan of it, so a judicious use of the Missus nail polish remover took it off the blade with no damage to the cerakote on the blade.

I have a good majority of those exact knives and I don't have a problem with any of them they all have done very well for me.

I first had a fake Benchmade bugout but I have now bought a real one. For me It is hard to see the difference but i can feel it.

We have a Cabala /Bass Pro Shop all in one a huge store with two stories. Fun to look around

Cabela's is where I got my baby knife. The whole knife is only like 2 in. I got it as a Conversation piece for my key chain, & bit is it a conversation piece. No one has ever seen a knife as small as this one.

Vancouver island amd I have a cabelas here. One quick 2 and a half hour ferry ride to a Bass pro shop. Lol

I love going in to "Bass Pro/Cabela's." Just got a few things from them for Christmas (thanks to my wife😊), including that Buck Cavalier you looked at (yeah, I know the steel's not the best, but it looks nice, hides great & sharpens easily). Also got about three of their "off brand" Multi-tools as stocking stuffers. The quality's not bad, & they're great for stashing around the house & vehicles... Also got the Streamlight Protac 1AAA & the Gerber Truss for EDC (both are excellent)

Ok, going to check knives, and end up with Butt Pucker?? Y’all are awesome!!! Bird I think you even shocked Frankie on this trip 😁👍. I spend too much at Cabela’s 😂. I can’t believe they want $500 for Yeti cooler, that’s expensive to me. Love these shopping tours and looking at the budget side of knives. Seems like prices are going up on the name brand knives. The Benchmade Bugout seems to have creeped up in price since I got mine. Also the 940 has gone up at least $50, since I got mine.

I have a Bass Pro Shop(same company) maybe an hour away and have bought many knives there, including 3 Benchmades.

I kind of imagine the two of you at home playing with knives opening and closing them over and over. Not a bad thing.

Great video. My go to for knives is Chicago Knife Works online shopping. The best prices and great deals in the clearance section to move the merch. I always compare to Cabelas/Bass/Amazon before buying and CKW knocks it out of the park.

Cabela's is like a 45 minute drive for me. They do have a decent selection of stuff. Grabbed a sog powerpint last time I went.

They have what we wanted 4 years ago 😂. As for Hot sauce try hellfires doomed, or double doomed, heatonist the last dab Apollo, or alchemy watermelon ghost, don’t get pure extracts unless you want to kill your stomach!

Of course I wish we had stores like that here. We do have outdoor stores, but they don’t sell many knives, perhaps some Opinels and the odd Victorinox. Thanks for the video.

Youre impressed when someone is working the counter. Whenever you go to purchase anything odds are you will know far more than the salesman ever would with just a few minutes of research.

So im a pretty hardcore knife guy and my work beater/hunting beater is the outdoor edge edc what ever with the replaceable blades and ive come to really enjoy that thing

Have the Bass Pro version Nearby. Oh for what it is worth. WalMart is starting to get in their $6 Christmas knives.

We have one here, it's massive. It has an indoor decked out pond in the middle. The pricing is what you'd expect at a Cabela's or Scheels.

We have Bass Pro Shops in CA. Same company as Cabela's. My favorite is Scheels in Sparks, NV. If you've never been to a Scheels, it's a huge amazing place.

Picked up a SOG Ultra xr at my local Cabelas. They had lost the box so i got it for under a hundred. Good day.

I bought a Jackalope mount at cabelas like 10 years ago. My oldest daughter has since claimed it for her room. Great mount though.

We had a Cabelas and a Bass Pro within 5 minutes but then Bass pro bought them now we just have Bass Pro haven't been in awhile though. Academy Sports has a good bit of knives near my house if you guys have that store.

I have a Cabela’s store in my town and have bought several knives and a firearm there - and a gasoline powered generator too. It’s a fantastic store, but as you pointed out, their prices tend to run a little high.

16:57 I didn’t know they had a price match guarantee…, that’s awesome, I gotta say…, that’s American as f**k…, I love it…, I might have to go check them out, I think the closest one near me is probably in Wilmington about a hour or so away, that orange bladed bugout was pretty awesome, I wonder what the blade steel is on it…

Cabela's is about half-hour away, Bass Pro Shop and Scheels plus Sportmans Warehouse. All have a good variety 😊

Ever been to the Case store in Missouri? It's amazing. It has so many awesome knives. I'm stopping by there again in November otw to my mom's for Thanksgiving in Kansas, so I plan on dropping by the Case store otw to pick up the Case Kinzua.

I will have to check out my local Cabela’s, but I do tend to shy away from knives that come in blister packs!

I have a Cabelas about ten minutes away. I'm in Ontario Canada and this Cabelas has about a fifth of the knives your Cabelas has. Maybe even less than that because here there are some knives they don't really sell. We don't see Spyderco Knives here. A few Benchmade and just a couple of SOG. We have so much less to choose from. Just a ouple of days ago I was in there because they supposedly had a few blades on sale that I was interested in according to their website. I get there and they were regular price. They lie a lot here. I did buy two knives that weren't on sale. A Gerber Sumo and a Schrade Old Timer Folder. Looks like a Buck 110 style. It's called Desert Ironwood handle, the Golden Bear. Thanks for the look in your Cabelas, there is a difference. Knife hunting where I see the real big difference is in Walmart. Our Walmarts do not sell knives anymore. They used to sell a few that they would have in a lock-up cabinet. That was some years ago. Now they sell nothing.

We have bass pro and Cabelas not too far away here in Mo. I didn’t know about the price match though. That’s pretty sweet. Lol I always like to pick up a cool hot sauce or a different salsa to try.

I was looking at the Buck with the blue pivot collar today. Bad steel but a good looking knife.

I live about 75 miles from the original Cabela's store in Sidney, NE. By nature Cabela's always charges a premium price for their knives. It's like their version of a cover charge for letting you in the store and look at stuff. The Mini-Griptilian in D2 used to be their exclusive, but IDK if it still is.

I checked the pricing on the Spydercos while viewing and the prices are normal. However, because of the packaging, you can't handle and check the knife before buying, which I would think is a big reason to buy one in person rather than online.

Don’t sleep on the browning buckmark slim Manual with ball bearings d2 drop shut out of the package for 34.99 I can also vouch for Cabela’s dbs pivot with carbon fiber scales. I was incredibly impressed by the action of both of them. Oh and buck has the hiline that has d2 for 39.99
