I am a general engineering contractor, and can fully appreciate your cutter head design. What most other companies don't get is that it's all in the geometry. Your cutting depth limiters are the key and I don't see this in other heads. They rather club the wood and jam it in the cutters at random depth, stalling the machine. Your head is the difference between a straight razor and a triple head pivoting blade.Too bad you cant get the price down so one does not have to be full on into the business to justify one. I see the Chinese have cloned your cutters and are selling for $12 to 6$ [if you buy 49,000 at a time] . And about your gas powered grinder - I would go to a lithium cordless grinder with 12 volt charger in this day and age. Can keep it in the cab of the machine.

I highly recommend buying this mulching head. Expensive it may be it's definitely worth the buy. I have been running one at work in South East Texas on a kobelco 210 for 6 months brand new and I love it.

@@deniscimafincus, small battery operated one would be more practical. Maybe supply just the grinding wheel & gauges & let customer supply their own power unit as an option. Most guys already have the tools / power units.

Yes, we have backing plates for battery powered grinders. You can request models of backing plates that we don't have by calling parts dept. 1-877-279-2300 ask for parts You need to be careful to have the same grit on these sanding disc though. If you heat up the metal too much when you sharpen, you can negate the effect of the hardness treatment. Sharpening should be a short process repeated every 4 hours of operation. If you keep your blades sharp it should be small touch up every time.
