KNITTING VERY EASY NEWBORN KIMONO II Beginner friendly pattern.

Hello!
In this tutorial you will see how to make very easy Newborn kimono. I have used garter stitch all over, so the pattern is therefore super easy. Specially, if you are a beginner knitter, then you should definitely try making this kimono.

I think she was saying that an option is to put the stitches you are ignoring on another needle. She did short rows instead, in other words knit the 15, turn the work so that you are ignoring the others and just knit and turn for the appropriate amount of length.

So knit 15 stitches after the marker that separates the body from the sleeve. The panels are done as short rows ( knit 15, turn, knit the sleeve and the 15, for 5 rows) and you ignore for now the rest of the body stitches.

Hi there, it is absolutely ok to make mistakes in knitting. It happens with me all the time. What you can do is you can go back and frog your work all the way back to the the part from where we started knitting for the front panel. OR If you will you can just leave it and repeat the same mistake on the other panel and call it a day 😊.But make sure your sleeves are equal on both the front and back side. I hope you understood and please let me know which solution you took. Have a great day😊

@@jwatson4610 No you would have to make it bigger. You can add 4sts for every 1" additional I. e. this kimono is 10" in width and to add extra 2/3" You will add extra 8/12 sts. That will make the body wider. And for adding the length knit extra rows and measure as you go. For 3 months you can add 3" Extra. Directions :- co 52/56 sts as per your size preference. I the tutorial I knit 5.5 " before casting on sts for sleeves. You can knit 6.5 " and cast on sts for sleeves. For sleeves cast on additional 5 sts more than what is shown in the tutorial.
