Wonderful episode, I became more and more enchanted and impressed by Pernilla and Caroline as the interview progressed and more in love with their patterns. As always, a pleasure to see you and Madeleine on the couch with your new projects. I have learned so much about fiber, colors, and techniques from your archives, you've expanded my knitting world and it's a pleasure to be a Patreon.

The absolute BEST thing about KFO yarn is their range of colors, and they're not gaudy colors either like some yarn companies. I also really love that they keep the same yarns and don't rotate them out every year.

Hi Andrea and Madeleine - I am a first-time accidental visitor on your channel. I love knitting in general and toys predominantly. I loved your show, and I was happily surprised when you started showing toys knitted based on Allen Dart's designs. I discovered this designer about 7 years ago and fell in love with his work. Since then I made at least 10 different toys using his designs. Mainly, I gift these toys, and everybody loves them. Recently, my husband rebelled and begged me to leave these beautiful creatures for us. This is why I have a few of them living with us now. Thank you very much for showing his work. It made my day brighter to know that there are a lot of people who admire his work too. Ella

I love their ethos, colors, yarns and designs, many of which I've knitted. I am so drawn to the nuanced colors that can be created by mixing merino and kidsilk yarns together. Joy! Pure joy! Pernille and Caroline remind me of Andrea and Madeleine! Did everyone get the same feeling watching this episode? Two talented mothers and equally talented daughters. I enjoyed the knowledge and superior skill of Pernille, she is the type of knitter so many of us wish we had as our mother, to learn not just to follow a pattern, but to know our knitting. She kind of made me think of Elizabeth Zimmermann. Plus, I must have some of their yarn! Hearing such commitment to creating a superior product is grand. Not to mention they took no loans but saved up and moved along as it came in! All commendable, true integrity and an example that instant gratification doesn’t exist everywhere. Thank you Ladies. This is a keeper!

It gives me echoes of how you and Madeleine are a lovely duo together and my heart is so full watching the two of you in the same way. By the way, if you and Madeleine wished to frequently knit the same garment, it would be yet another excellent dimension regarding how knitting emerges individually from each of you as a knitter and could suit each of you individually. It bolsters faith in my own knitting and I am always rewarded watching your content. Have a lovely holiday month to come!

Sometimes with complicated stitch patterns, especially ones that don't have a constant number of stitches, the gauge is specified as being in stockinette stitch. The assumption is that your stockinette gauge will transfer directly to the complex pattern. Another option is for the gauge to be specified as inches or cm per pattern repeat, so you don't even look at the individual stitches. I would think a pattern like this would use one of these conventions to avoid the difficulty you had in figuring out exactly what you should be measuring. It's a beautiful stitch pattern and garment, though!

Thank you so much for this interview, ladies. I have the book, knitting for Olive and thoroughly enjoyed this. Well done. These patterns are simply wonderful.

Thank you so much for a wonderful episode. I Knitting for Olive, and now I love them even more. As a Dane living in Australia, this episode made me very proud of the Danes and it made me miss my home country even more.
