@@TheAutumnAcornKnits None whatsoever! I also knit a large shawl with fingering weight & mohair that I use all the time, & it remains looking brand new after a winter's heavy use on an almost daily basis. Love the yarn combo for the comfy coziness & sheer luxury! (I did get the mohair at wholesale pricing at a lys that cannot restock that brand now. Luv those bargains!)🥰

Hi Judy…Thank you for another wonderful podcast. I have Neuropathy in both hands and feet. I’m thrilled you are working on a pattern to help all of us with Neuropathy. It’s not easy knitting socks on a 1.5 us needle. 9” seems easier for me at the moment. Happy Memorial Weekend. Stay well.

Briggs & Little is a New Brunswick company. You can get their wool in the dollar stores here lol. I know a lot of people buy it to dye because it is inexpensive. A workhorse wool for sure! All of your projects look amazing! I am still working on my scrappy yarn crochet blanket (doing a DK-Worsted weight version right now). Thanks for your podcast. Thank you Jeanne, I was so confused by that breed! Lol. As far as sock knitting, I never thought I'd see the day I'd want to knit so many pair. The problem is, most of the hand knit socks in my drawer have holes in them. I practically live in them though, and I mean year-round too so they get a ton of wear!! I just really enjoy the stockinette part. Hope you are well and thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment!💕💕

So nice to meet you Helene! Magic Heel Socks are a type of "heel" I thought up a few years ago to help new sock knitters get over their fear of turning a heel. I never thought it would take off like it has and I'm very grateful for that!! Knitters found not only was it good for new sock knitters but also for knitting non-interrupting, self-striping socks, socks for kids and socks for anyone whose foot you couldn't measure (like gift-knitting). All of my magic heel socks are listed in my Ravelry shop. I hope this helps answer your question and thank you so much for stopping by!💕💕

I was interested in the 5 ply unspun yarn you showed. I purchased some too and had thought it was a 2 ply (my inexperience knowing it came in different plys). It has been sitting in my stash. It had been intended for a loose fitting sweater or cardigan, but I am not sure how to go about dividing it so I don't have the big chunky. In the event that you divide yours I will be watching to see how you do it (although sounds like you are using it as is). I am afraid of it falling apart when I try to divide it into one or two plys. Thank you for your nice podcast.

  • @TheAutumnAcornKnits

Hi Trudy, I think it should be pretty easy to separate into a 2 or 3-ply yarn but I’m really used to working with unspun. As long as you’re gentle and don’t tug on your yarn, it should be fine. I won’t know until I test it but I think 5-ply may be too thick for my forest mat but I can imagine it being awesome in an outerwear garment!! I definitely want to do some experimenting! Thank you for watching the podcast and for your thoughtful comment. Hugs, Judy💕
