Haha… YES to “wherever the winds blows” patterns, the best kind, right!!!? Currently I have quite a few kits (that I just HAD to have & start Right. Now…. ahem), so that’s where alllll my needles are. Really?? So, I “need” more needle tips (for interchangeable set), then I get more… The Cast On, WIPs, Finish (what’s THAT???) battle/s never end. No matter what I’m knitting on (or not) brings me joy, and then I’m Super Duper Happy when the thing is finished!! The dogs are soooo full of energy! Thanks for sharing all the gorgeous-ness & enjoy all the tomatoes & potatoes (w herbs)! 😊

Thanks for a lovely "catch up". I love that Julie Asselin Anatolia. I made a Ranunculus in a gorgeous orangey red with that yarn held double and it was just so beautiful and soft. Not all silk mohairs are as lovely as this one. I wish my LYS still carried it. I iust found NE Knits recently as well and loved her content and style. I'm keen to make the Kuutar Top also but will wait till my in-laws can bring me some Tynn Line in their suitcase. It sounds like your brain just isnt in the headspace for all the lace right now, though. I am also all over the place with what i am going to knit next - I never know what will catch my eye and I will drop the current plan and create a new one. Love hearing about your knitting plans and your sharing about your family and Teddy. Thanks again for sharing. x

I just spent time Sunday afternoon at a skirting party in Western Ma. We worked on about 6 fleeces that are headed to Green Mounting Spinners. They process donated wool for the "Western Mass. I too have been organizing rooms and refreshing the spaces. All 3 of my kids are out on their own now. This year I am officially an empty nester so we have been painting and re-arranging the rooms! A craft room is on my list for one of them! Trying not to get overwhelmed, I have flower gardens to keep up on, a full time job and always like to fit in as much knitting as possible!! Safe travels to you! I’ll be hitting some shops on 91 but not on the same weekend that you’ll be out and about! Enjoy and thanks again to you and Kim for sharing your knitting journey !

How cute is Teddy! So funny his brother is much smaller. Your garden 😞 I’d cry and your summer Texas temps are rude. I like summer but I’m talking 80-85F that to me is our summer. Good luck 🫠 Your rib skirt could be your mindless round and round? How brave of your dad to stop driving. Mine will be 80 soon and I don’t think will ever be that wise. He’s crashing a bit (and not disclosing it all the time) and I know as he gets older/worse he won’t give in so the future can worry me if I look too far ahead, he’s SO stubborn. Growing older (whilst a gift) is not always easy. Lovely as always and fun to see what you’re up to. Enjoy your trip. Thanks for sharing, Karen 💕

Knitting in the summer can be just too hot! I live in Australia and sweaty hands and even cotton or linen is too much. The longer summer days mean you can spend ages in the garden too. Sounds like you need to border the whole garden in herbs to keep that groundhog out. We just get parrots eating all our apples which I don’t mind.

Teddy and Clifford are so delightful. I’ve been living a parallel existence over here in Australia as we bought a puppy in early January. We also take her for long walks and play dates to wear her out 😂 I love to hear what you’re knitting and why. This was a great episode. Thank you 💐🍅🧶

I think the Wooly Thistle may have store hours again. I'll be starting the Altheda (Jennifer Steingass) kit I purchased from them as soon as I finish the Lindal Torkel (Ona Woldten) I'm making with the wool I purchased from Junction Fiber Mill. We are so lucky to have so many wonderful local producers and purveyors in our area.

What if you just knit the front panel of the Kuutar-top according to the lace pattern and knit the back just in stockinette? You would still get the beautiful top, but save some brainpower. 😀 Teddy is adorable! 🥰

Hi Jonna! Thank you for the catchupasode! Have you thought about socks for on-the-go knitting? They are the perfect project to take with you. They fit in your purse and you can put them down easily. I've mentioned before to try the DRK everyday socks. They are all 2x2 rib and fit really well. The other socks that are good is anything from The Crazy Sock Lady. Watch some of her episodes. She does so much with a plain vanilla sock. Something else I wanted to ask you is, have you looked at the skirt from Churchmouse Yarn & Tea? It's a classic shape. Actually the aesthetic of Churchmouse patterns makes me think of you: classic, elegant, and beautiful. I can picture you wearing just about all of their designs!

Yes, the Pencil Ribbed Skirt?? It's gorgeous too, and DK! It's knit flat and seamed but that's not a big deal since it's ribbing. I made their Studio Beret and love it. Thank you for your sweet comment! So, some sock drama...I have just the toe to finish on my striped pair and feel like I can't CO another pair until I finish those? That's why I need to get my knitting life in order! I need a purse project for sure. I've purchased the DRK sock pattern and just need to choose yarn...and I have plenty 😂 Thank you so much, Anne!

I finished my Vellichor recently and I really love the finished product. It was a slog for me at one point (because I'm not skinny), but once I got to the separation of the sleeves it went super fast for some reason. The pattern repeat is easy to memorize and I think I only made one big mistake - I did an extra 4 row repeat in the pattern, but I doubt anyone else would notice. I may revisit this pattern and try using just one color. I'm currently on the traveler. I'm at the sleeve separation already. Another super easy repeat till you separate. Then it's a 10 row repeat that I can't memorize. lol Other than that I started the seven sisters top the other day. Lots of ribbing (5")but will be a good mindless knit once past the rib. I'm looking forward to cooler temps for sure. We've had so many days of 105 and up. July was awful. So far August is still hot but not the triple digits of July. Great video Jonna and I loved seeing the puppers play!

Nice catch up, Jonna. Teddy and Clifford are so cute together. Puppies are tough in the beginning. We adopted our Eddie (pictured) just before I broke my arm and while I had to work from home. Since I could not put my computer on mute, everyone got to hear melodious beagle sounds during class. It’s funny now…He is three now and has been such a sweetie and much quieter. Tough for someone to have to give up driving. We had to tell my dad he could no longer drive and he/ we hated that. Congrats on becoming a grandma again. Oh and lovely knitting. Rip is always the way to go. You will be happier when you get the sweater that you want. I am working on too many projects right now - I have good reason :) but it can be a little stressful. Thats an interesting topic
