Tracked down how to pronounce ‘Knipex,’ in German: “Key-na-pix” - as fast as you can! I’ve also gotten into Tsunoda (King TTC) hand tools, from Japan. Got some stiff opening pliers (like yours here), poured a few drops of vinegar into the opened hing, let it set ‘upright’ overnight - loosened em right up! Lots of lube afterwards to wash out the ‘rust,’ but man ..they’re ‘worked in’ perfect.
