I still can't believe that SWTOR's "extended universe" has such a vastly superior setting than "sequels trilogy" (episode 7-9): * Visual style is amazing, and the amount of effort put into Empire of Zakuul alone completely destroys anything created by Disney's "filmmakers". And I'm just barely scratching the surface without mentioning KotOR's I-II style. * Memorable characters: Revan, Exile, Kreya, Darth Marr, Valkorion, Darth Malgus easily rival anything Disney offered yet. * SWTOR's class stories would've made an awesome TV-show after proper adaptation, and KotOR I-II with KotFE + KotET could've made an awesome set of trilogies (after some retconning and adaptation). Disney don't realize what a diamond BioWare has cut for them...

Alexander Preston the sequel trilogy is ok. Sure some designs are unoriginal but then again it had some good moments. As much as I love the old republic I cannot dissown the sequels.

@@alexander_Izunia Well, for me the sequels are a bit too uninspired and just a lazy cashgrab. I mean they re-used so much from the OT and EU + the inconsistency cause of the director change. Rian should've done it all along, instead we had directors who pissed on each others ideas. Or let Dave Filoni do it all along, he's a genius and knows how to touch a Star Wars fans heart.

@@alexander_Izunia right. I read a text where Dave Filoni described the change of Luke and it was way better than how Rian potraited him. For the viewer it doesn't make any sense. And then all the plot holes. Rise of Skywalker felt like two films for a reason.

+Vingvideo Thats the only weak point of EVII, no themes like the the imperial march, duel of fates, or the old republic theme of kotor. The march of the resistance is pretty epic, but not on the level of those i mentioned.

the only EA studio that is thrustworthy of my money is Bioware sad thing is you can see the hand of EA over there products with DLC. Still best games I ever played (Kotor,Mass effect, Dragon age) are made by them In bioware I believe

I like the part that starts at 2:30 and ends at 2:48. Its my favorite part.

That intro is instant-goozebumps to me, such an ominous and hateful sounding string section. Would've been nice if the new Star Wars movies also had such bad-ass themes.

But Darth Marr didn't surrender he died rather then submit, and it took Arcan utterly demolishing both sides before Darth Vowrawn submitted, and even then you know Vowrawn resented doing so.

It's frustrating that the old republic stories (beyond just the MMO) up to and including KotFE and KotET aren't considered canon within the new disneyverse despite the fact that their stories are far better

I dont consider eps 7,8 and Solo canon because they dont connect with the OT story line at all. As for the Old Republic....i always thought it seperate from the movies.

I mean, it would have been a bit weird to bring Vitiate back only to then immediately replace him with another deep-voiced Immortal Emperor who’s name starts with a V.

To be honest... Compared to the Immortal Emperor, Palpatine still looks like a genius, but a peevish child as well. It's like comparing a literal god from the Greek pantheon to an emotionally unstable brat. Maybe Palpatine was a genius in all this...
