Knife River and their Depot
The Knife River Depot has been a labor of love for some hard working volunteers that have spent the past few years restoring it from a derelict building to a historic community center that it is today. Knife Knife River is located at MP19.5, which is 19 1/2 miles away from Duluth - about 10 miles outside of Two Harbors, MN. It was a small fishing village and site of a huge logging operation.
The small depot was built to facilitate passenger boarding on the Lakefront line. It has recently been restored, and work continues to bring this station back to work, thanks to the effort of the Knife River Rec. Council, hard working volunteers, and donors. The North Shore Scenic Railroad stops here on occasion for special excursions, with plans to make more stops in the future.

Glad you like them!
Add me to the list of folks that love your videos. Very professional, erudite, and entertaining. You deserve a wider audience and I share your channel with everyone I know (that also like trains). Just a clarification; Russell Alger served with Michigan cavalry in the Civil War. As a colonel at Gettysburg, he fought with none other than George Armstrong Custer.

Glad to see the videos again! I volunteered up here once for a fundraiser, and it's amazing here.
Looks nice! The B&B looks fun do you know what cars will be on it? The area around the depot is nice will definitely be a big attraction.

I liked your video. Except when you were inside the depot I had a hard time understanding you and the the guy. The sound was terrible. Please redo it.
