what in the heck, i been watching knife forging vids for like 15 years and not one of them ever said anything about this magic heating up during cooling thing, that was neat! i loved this vid.
That’s not a knife…. THIS IS A KNIFE!!! Absolutely gorgeous work mate and what a whopper!!!
I honestly don’t understand why people diss the stock removal method so much. This is a really nice knife that a lot of care and effort was very obviously put into. Hell, they even NORMALIZED the blade! Normally you only do that after forging to shape! But they did it after grinding and cutting, which introduces way less stress! You very obviously care about your product quite a bit, well done!!!

It's because they believe the myths about forging compacting the steel and making it stronger. If that nonsense was true, billets wouldn't get longer as you draw them out, and blades wouldn't curve as you hammered one side. Physics!

I agree. I forged my knives for about 8yrs and my elbow just couldn't handle the hammer any longer. I've been doing stock removal for 6 years now. I have total respect for the forgers out there. But it's not a necessity as it once was. Great job!!

Stock removal wastes material. Ive been swinging a hammer all my life, framing houses...body work on cars/sheet metal work....teardrop hammers to form sheet metal.....now blacksmithing for 5 or so years. Easy peezy. Eddie, your elbow should have nothing to do with hammering. Technique is everything.

Bro what are you even talking about lmao
Been a knifemaker for over twenty years. I just learned about recalescence today because of your video. Now I'm diving into the rabbit hole of entropic shift and Gibbs free energy. :)
Just starting my knife making journey. I can appreciate this build. Nice
This blade is absolutely gorgeous! I really like the contrasting wood handle but the harpoon blade is probably the coolest I've seen in a while. Maybe my new favorite! A+
Really nice build! Your video production quality is excellent also. I look forward to it every time you put something out.
Love your knives. They always have this look of rebellion to them.

The blade is as fantastic as your filming and video editing. Just wow!
This is an unusually instructive video. Thank you very much! I haven't watched a knife making video at normal speed from end to end in a long while.
Excellent video man and what an awesome job you did.
Absolutely great piece of work/craftsmanship. Beautiful blade design with a perfectly complimenting handle. Fantastic.

That was a neat trick gluing the paper between the handle scales. I'm gonna try that sometime soon. Thanks for the video. Really dig the knife.

You don’t know how happy it makes me that you mentioned the production quality first! Sometimes it seems like I spend more time on shooting and editing compared to actual knife making 😆

Thanks! I’m a bit biased, but I love it too. After getting a laser engraver, I have to stop myself from putting it on everything I own.
This one is one of my favorites 👍👍
Хорош! настоящий нож на все случаи жизни. С таким и на суслика не страшно выйти 😉. Лайк однозначный.

Great build quite a informative video 🤙👊
Excellent looking knife 👍
I have never seen the 1600 flip 1500 flip 1400 flip. Maybe an old japanese concept. I was waiting for the quench and it happened. Pinning the blank after quenching in that clamp , wow. Good job.
Beautiful work.

Beauty and the beast right there!
Wow what a work of art. I had to subscribe
Beautiful outcome! I really like the whole thing. The flat grind with the stonewash finish and the handle too. The only thing I don't understand is what's going on in those people's heads who gave this video a thumbs down.🤔
Complimenti bel coltello e bel lavoro
Wow! If watching all of that work and craftmanship being utilized doesn't give you pride of ownership, I don't know what will?

What a great name for a blade!!
Very nice, if anything it would be the back of the blade being beveled. I actually have a eye out for a knife that look a bit like this, but are a bit larger.
Lord have mercy that is a nice knife! I am a believer in your fine work!
