Knife making - Hand made pocket knife
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This my my 23th hand made pocket knife. I finally got my new bench grinder. about 3HP. I really enjoy it and am looking forward to getting descent at free hand grinding! Furthermore, I made a lapping tool, so I can now make bushings. In the past I have sometimes peened the liners so tight that the action of the blade when going from locked to open was compromised. Now the walk and talk are getting better!

Very impressive, especially considering the amount of hand tools and work involved, versus machinery. Respect.

I want to make one like this for myself. It’s be made if O1, with copper fittings, a pocket clip, and some nice ironwood. O1 patinas in such a pretty way that it would compliment the copper and wood nicely

Beautiful craftsmanship! What is the purpose of wrapping the stuff in sheet metal before heat treat? Does that prevent scale or something?

Top job, really nice knife. Only one question, where’s the nail nick for opening?
@Inmyshed
11 ай бұрын
Hi! The blade shape makes a nail nick redundant. Its so easy to open. I was pondering making one just for esthetics tho. maybe on the next one!
1:18 what kind of file is that? where can you buy one?

Hi! Check out description.
Won't the blade dull when closing?
@Inmyshed

Hi! no. The edge never touches the back spring when locked due to the kicker. Watch from 4:39 and u can see the clearing when closed.
