80% of TGP players and up do that. But these guys get extra-cautious and outplayed when they fight someone who's a real pro. Same thing happens when pro players fight Knee, because he's on another level.

Definitely Knee's year. Honestly, it looked like when Arslan rose to fame... People were quite hesitant to do much because Arslan had perfect movement and punish. Arslan was also insane in the membrane with not only the reactions, but also the READS. Knee is exactly that right now... guess he found the right character to pick.

@@muhtadaali8847 Not really. Arslan outclassed Knee in 2019. First time you see Knee being afraid of pressing buttons and not being able to "get in". Arslan is still one of the best, and it would've been good to see them fight in 2022.

Dude tried to time out and Knee punished him for it lol. Knee won on a time out but he wasn't actively trying to win on timeout. That alone gives him a lot of respect from me. He didn't have to and wouldn't blame him for it, but the fact he didn't go for the easy out, mad respect.

Knee is like fucking Goku, as if he test the opponent and gets beaten up and down the map, until suddenly goes angry ssj mode and starts with amazing comebacks

@@simonshura9144 I watched footage of his early days playing Tekken. He wasn't as god like as he is today. This is simply hard work. He puts in his hours and does things like travel to India to play the Pakistanis. He knows the game mechanics very well and is battle tested. On stage he has ice in veins. There is a competitive fire in him that won't allow him to fade away. He has a bulls eye on him and yet comes out on top. Some of the greats like JDCR have faded, but not Knee.

20:55 IT IS Twitch acting lol... it was obvious why he ducked lol. When your Feng opponent sidesteps close to you, you duck! But I'll give mainman the benefit of doubt because he didn't rewind like I did. I was just thinking this is one of the reasons what makes Feng so strong. You have an opponent with good defense who is backdashing away with a big life lead. The Feng player can still force strong mixups on him by approaching with a really long range low poke, followup with a really long range ws1 that keeps opponent close to you and now when Feng does a quick sidestep, you're forced into a powerful mixup.

mainman is right, pinya doesn't need to duck. Pinya has the lifelead, and doing double back kills the threat of ss4 because it will not launch. all pinya has to do there is backdash. (SS4 only launch on close range)

Only way Knee could have make the comeback there was through side step 4. But sidestep 4 needs clean hit to launch. It wouldn't have been a clean hit if Pinya had just kept backdashing.

I believe Knee is just the legit solid way to play Tekken, which is why after 2 decades, Knee is still on top, but most of his wins are never lopsided, but back and forth. Knee has true consistent Tekken skills so there is no landslide dominance. Everyone studied Knee for 2 decades and it's a close fight, but Knee is a better player so he edges out a win. Pakistan style is brand new, like when BJJ was brand new and you could just use BJJ alone and landslide beat everyone in MMA/UFC. This is why Pakistan wins were always lopsided against top players, even though they should've been close. However, Knee said he studied the Pakistan style and so he was able to read Khan. I would expect Pakistan style being studied more in the future, like BJJ had been. Knee is the only style that withstood the test of time for 2 decades.

Can everyone stop it with the nerf comments, already? Like, if Feng was really THAT op, there would have been 6 or 7 Fengs in the Evo Top 8. Knee is one of the greatest of all time, if not the GOAT, and here he is losing whole rounds/matches to Master Raven, Kuni, etc. If Feng was really THAT op, then the GOAT would've swept everyone easily with little effort. Why so obsessed with nerfing every single character that ends up winning a major tournament? If Feng is THAT op, then go use him and win Evo or something.
